Why must Bastion consist of so much lush grass?! When imported, the world tile was pretty much devoid of all vegetation and plant life. If it was not for the geometry node feature added to the most recent version of Blender, I might be still working on, "Steward's Melody.".
The idea behind this piece is a simple one. Indeed, Jiggles and his clan are not native to this specific location. Those who have played through the storylines of Shadowlands undoubtedly will know that Maldraxxus does invade Bastion. Cats are notorious for hitching rides, even when they are least expecting to do so. That is what I would bet happened here. A kind Steward wisely decided to guide our slimy feline friends to safety far from the battlefield with a lovely mel-hoo-dy.
There is a cat hitchhiker tale to tell from when I was fresh out of high school. My Mom and Stepfather worked for a local Tidy Cat litter factory. One of our barn cats went missing for days. We were worried about never seeing him again. At work one day, m Step-father happened to overhear people talking about a super affectionate cat who showed up out of the blue at the factory. Seems our missing feline had ridden to work in my Stepfather's truck for his own private tour of the cat litter factory.
Edit (1/23/2022) - I've been learning more about effective ways to enhance my art via post-processes. Looks like my primary focus has been solely on Blender for the most part. So much so, that those techniques I learned early on in GIMP have not been used post-process on several pieces. Steward's Melody here is a prime example, no vignette was ever added. That has now been remedied, as one can naturally see. Not only that, other little post-process techniques were applied likewise. Though these changes are subtle, they add significantly to this piece.
