Nice. It's been too long since I've been to Road America. 2019, I think? If not, then 2018. I think I haven't done Autobahn since 2019 either, and that was South Circuit. Racing practically didn't happen because of COVID restrictions.
We had a few in 2019 and 2020...with restrictions (no spectators, every other pit stall, etc)
and yes, a bunch of races got canned when things first got out of hand.
What do you race?

I don't race outside of karting, just autocross/HSAX. Drive a Cayman GTS. The four-banger.
I forget how hot looking that car is. But damn, Road America is quite cool. Has one of the longest straightaway I've ever seen.
Going up the hill to the line is amazing in a muscle car, you feel like you are taking off!!
Funny enough my Camaro hit its top speed in thunder valley.

*blinkblinkblink* *snort with smoke* *perturbed growl* *mumbling about how Bristol sucks*
Thunder valley is the back section of road America right before Canada corner.
Thunder Valley is the nickname of Bristol Motor Speedway. (also known as The Last Great Colosseum, The Angry Person Track and lately, Cinderella's Worst Nightmare, thanks to Denny Hamlin...)

My uncle used to have a C4 Corvette and I had fun riding it. It's a shame that he didn't want to keep it anymore.
To be honest I don't know 100%!!
I swapped out to alloy heads so we lost 40 pounds out of the nose. The car will go on the scales at Road America (part of getting its logbook for the WRL) but the last time we had the car on the scales:
Weight: 3040 pounds, (with 210 pounds of rat sitting in it!!)
LF 799 RF 734
LR 759 RR 749
51.2% Front 49.6% rear
49.5 crossweight.
So yes loosing the 40 pounds out of the nose isnt JUST loosing weight my hope is to balance the thing more. The car isnt bad but the tail gets happy in short corners and it will unload over hills. Without getting too crazy I'm running out of ideas as to what else to do to lighten him up more. I COULD get a mini starter on it, but RF is already the light corner of the car. They still make race hoods for the C4 but they are damn spendy!

I imagine there's zero room to do an engine setback / shift? Imagine battery is already out back?
Yea, as it is its a bitch to get the cap off the distributor (chevy problems!!).
In order to fix that I would need to add a front mount distributor, like an LT style...but those..SUCK for reliability. OR I would need to spend the big bucks and get a low profile MSD unit....which isn't legal for Lemons racing.
The battery is indeed already in the back, we mounted it in the cargo bucket that these Corvettes all have, so its behind the "b" pillar and VERY low in the chassis.

Do a porsche style, chain drive off the existing distributor under the intake to another distributor up front!
Yea the car is really good so far, its pretty fresh sooo....we think we can do this many races
