How long has it been since we were put down here? Couple days? Weeks? Months? No that last one isn’t even theoretically possible. I know it’s been at least a couple days since we were locked up down here. The little anomaly, which I still refuse to refer to by their name with few exceptions, comes down here to check on us every day or so.
It's been hard down here, being a scientist and not being able to do experiments, I suppose I should’ve enjoyed stuffing that fox into a marble more than I did.
My paw rested against the wall of my cell, the annoyed voice of my sister echoed a little on the walls. Always the whiney one, has to have everything perfect. Been complaining for a while about not being out of this.
I’ve been trying to find a way out of here. Cause hey we’re given things to eat but it’s uncomfortable and I miss my litterbox. Did dad ever explain why he wanted that book so bad? I hope the boys are doing better, least they don’t have to hear this.
“Seriously when are we getting out? I’m a busy cat and have things to do.” the grey cat whined, maybe if she hadn’t done that thing on Gilly Island she wouldn’t be here. Oh wait, that was partly my fault as well, oops.
She’s just mad that she was beat so easily and the guardians locked her up. Speaking of which, the familiar sound of a fox hole being used signaling that there was a visitor coming perked my ears up. Just depends, is it the anomaly or the other one?
That looked like it would be answered in approximately 1 minute and 23 seconds judging by how quickly they’re going. Relunauntly I got to my feet, figuring that the thing I am doing can wait 5 minutes for this to be over with.
From the relatively bright light came an orange and white fox who walked up a couple feet away. He had blue shoes, blue cape, gigantic eyes, along with an admittedly creepy smile to go along with it. Weirdly he looked around 11 or 12, do I want to know what he looked like as a baby? No, that’d be too much.
The anomaly, or I guess what he’s actually called Lucky, just stared at me with the perpetual smile. Still think it’s creepy how he’s able to do that.
He was going to walk closer, that was until I heard a voice calling out. “Tiny Rival.” causing the fox to giggle and skip over to him. That grey cat, Mittens, had been foolish enough to get himself caught while attempting to do an escape plan. Had to alert Lucky now didn’t he? My brother Master of mewshu arts or whatever but not at stealth that’s for sure.
While those two were making ninja poses at each other I quickly licked my paw and straightened my fur a little. Wait, what am I thinking? Do I really like that fox? I mean he did do that thing… No Tess stop it, there’s no room in that brain of yours for that stuff. Besides he sleeps with a pig, I don’t think his standards are that high.
When he came back the smile returned to his face and his hands grabbed the bars. “So how’d your trails go?” I ask with a head nod in return. “Guess you didn’t need me to wish you luck.” he giggles at that.
“Oh so now you’ve come to gloat have you?” Hey look the annoying variable’s back at it. Lucky stuck his tongue out at her. “M at least I’m trying to get out, do the same why don’t you. This equation is hard enough without you.” got her to shut up.
Actually maybe I could do something. Me and Mittens got our methods of teleportation confiscated but I have been working on something. It’s made of scrap metal and other seemingly useless junk but nothing I can’t do with this much.
“So I’m guessing you were let down here.” I say and receive a nod from the kid. “Yeah.” he said simply, not much of a talker this one, of course unless he’s angry or something. He’s really been growing on me since crossing paths again on Gilly Island.
He did slap me with his tail a few times, but he did listen to me when I said I kind of hate my sister in that cell over there. Even going out of his way to dress in that replica that geovanni stole, inspired my tail. M had no idea what was going on, didn’t even get hurt from what I could tell.
Reaching my arm through the bars and putting my paw on him before rubbing his head. Glancing over at my little project on the floor, considering this opportunity would be a benefit. The device wouldn’t be ready for another night, and there’s no telling when I’ll have this chance again.
I spent a good minute in silence which made the fox tilt his head a little, even stop smiling which is a really big first for him. “Hey Lucky, since it looks like you’ll be here more often, you mind coming back tomorrow?” I ask with a giggle and nod.
He hugged me for a moment, before backing up and rubbing his belly. Knew that was gonna happen, gently pushing him away seemed to get him to leave for the foxhole.
I sigh quickly. “Okay, Mittens, I have a plan to get us out of here.” he smiled. “What’s it about?” giggling quickly I press against the bars. “You know when I did the hypno speakers for M? Well I think I can make it happen to Lucky and have him let us out.”
“So you plan on using him?” I heard again from the cat to my left. “You have his older brother, why not?” there was a grumble before silence. Even she knows I’m right and that it’s hypocritical.
Chuckling I smile at both of them. “Then it’s settled, I’ll get back to work.” I say before turning around and sitting on knees to work on the machine. Though I feel slightly bad for using Lucky I have to get out of here soon, hopefully that’s tomorrow.
It’d been hours till I finished my machine, so much in fact that I admittedly forgot to eat. The fox’s sister gave us food though I didn’t eat it until like an hour before I fell asleep.
Morning had come sooner than I had initially thought so I was a little more tired than I would’ve liked. With a slight groan I stood up, my hands and feet hurt a little. That though is quickly swept away when the familiar sound of the entrance is heard.
Lucky came dashing in and to my cell. It was cute in a childish sorta way. “Morning Lucky.” my voice made it sound like I was trying to go back to sleep. All he did was smile before it faltered and disappeared, he noticed finally that I really don’t like him smiling all the time, improvement.
“Alright, are you ready to see the new thing I’ve been working on?” I ask and was replied with a nod coupled with a giggle and a curious “Yes.” Giggling along with him I take a step back.
“Than come on in, don’t worry I won’t hurt ya.” I tell him calmly and thankfully he agrees and squeezes through the bars. As he did for the first time I noticed the guardian’s sidgal in front of his neck, holding together his cape. Whoa he actually did it, I knew the little guy could do it.
My thoughts were interrupted when the fox started hugging me. “Um, what's this for? Little anomaly?” I asked before patting his head.
“Balance.” Was all that came. He’s really quiet, hm... have to do something about that soon. Pulling the kit off me and bent down, the curious look returned to his face once again as I sat on my knees on the floor.
Carefully I brush my paw along the thing on the floor. It wasn’t very big, about the size of those weird pop-gun things those worms use. Small double barrel to it, unlike them though, trigger for me to use as well.
Grabbing it off the floor my eyes go back to Lucky, not the faintest bit worried about what I might do to him. His sister could kill me if I hurt him though, I must be careful. Though actually he knows he shouldn’t be going along with this so… it’s his fault.
“Okay Lucky you ready?” I point the gun at him playfully, just to show that I don’t mean harm. He just giggles again and takes his normal battle stance. His tail swaying all the while.
Quickly I walk closer and gently put my hand under the base of his head. He looks nervous but gets his confidence back rather quickly.
“Alright this may pinch a little, when you’re ready just stare into this.” I tell him soothingly as I put the opening of the thing to his eyes. My feet on the ground, ready for when the trigger is pulled.
Hearing him swallow he breathed and put his face close enough that it would work. Quickly I pulled the trigger causing the machine to move so that it became a little spiral for him to stare into.
He stared at it for a couple seconds before I checked his eyes. They were starting to become swirls of orange and purplish pink, his jaw slightly open as well.
“Good Lucky, go ahead and relax.” I say gently and rubbing the back of his head. The colors attacked his brain quickly, to make him calmer. I did try to close his mouth but it just fell open once more.
“That’s a good fox, keep going.” I tell him and giggled. Rubbing the underside of his bottom jaw to get him to surrender quicker, like he was resisting. “Doesn’t it feel good to get treated like this?” he nodded and started to drool as a response. Got some of it on my hand and wiped it on Lucky’s ear.
“Then all you have to do is obey me and do whatever I say, sound good?” Once again a nod. “Good boy, You know who I am, right?” I asked and all he said was “Tess.” as he continued going deeper into the device. I reached up and scratched his ears lovingly, you wouldn’t think how good this feels but dang he is so soft. “Correct.”
His expressionless face gave a smile at that and tilted toward my hand. “Now I think it’s time for you to stop staring into the spiral for now little one.” I say and he nods. Removing the device from his vision the spirals seemed to slow down but they were still there. Once the mind numbing colors were out of his eyes he just absently stared forward at the wall.
Deciding to test if it worked I got in front of him. “You aren’t messing with me are you?” I asked while waving in front of his face. “No Tess.” was all I got. Thinking for a moment I held out my paw. “Than give me some tail.” instantly he bent down and spun around, his tail hitting my arm.
In the process he also hit my face so I had to fix my glasses can’t blame him though, I did tell him too. “Hm, do something embarrassing.” there was no immediate response, probably needing to think it over. He shook his head after a minute. “Hm sounds like he doesn’t have anything that is embarrassing about him. Nice information.” I heard Mittens say from afar.
I giggle “Yeah maybe.” looking at him and catching him with a smile on his face, he’s the best sometimes. Turning back to Lucky My paw went to his forehead, thinking about what to do with him next.
“Oh I think I have an idea.” I went back to licking one of my paws. “Do you like me?” I ask with a small pet. He nods “Yes.” it sounded like his normal self, guess there’s no way to get rid of his perpetual happiness. Figures.
“Well why are you so quiet around me? You love me?” I pet him before his eyes move to the floor, blush appearing on his cheeks “I don’t know.” Okay if this keeps up for much longer I might just hug him.
“Awe, little anomaly. If you love me just say it.” I smile as he considers it. “Come on, obey and tell how you really feel about me.” my hand scratches the side of his head to encourage him. He whines a little in happiness from it.
“I love you Tess!” he exclaims happily. I hug him. “Good boy. Can you go get me some water please?” I say before he quickly breaks the hug and squeezes himself between the bars again to fulfill my request.
“Whoa, you got Lucky to do what you want. Impressive sis.” Mittens told me. “Thanks, means a lot bro.” I tell him. Lucky came back with a water dish and handed it to me through the bars, a nice “Here you go.” to go along with it.
“Thanks Anomaly.” To tell the truth, I’m not too thrilled that it's in a cat’s water bowl but I’m in a jail cell currently so I can’t complain. Taking it I smiled at him before lapping at the water. Than there was a groan.
“Oh why are you able to have your own servant but not me?” The grey cat said, playing with a straid of hair on her head. I can’t take this at the moment.
“Shut up Meowmalade, I don’t want to hear or deal with you right now.” Feels like her IQ is dropping every second currently. With everything she’s put me through her voice annoys me.
Unexpectedly there was a low growl off to my right. Looking over Lucky was baring his teeth slightly. Purple swirly eyes staring daggers at the grey cat. This is unprecedented, sure he yelled occasionally but never in a way that felt exceptionally vicious toward anybody. So seeing him looking menacing was something strange, this needs to be tested.
First I put my paws on the underside of his head to check if he would allow his head to be moved and unsurprisingly he allowed it so I moved his head away from them. When his eyes saw me his face softened and a smile appeared again, interesting. I got his head to face M again and the ticked off look came back.
Mittens looked slightly afraid of what would happen with Lucky but he smiled with the same childish grin he normally did with the cat.
“It seems my view of people influences the signals given to his brain and his attitude toward them. Otherwise it goes to how he’d normally see them.” Just to prove it to myself I turned him to look at me and M a couple times and the expression changed respectively without fail. This is amazing.
“Good boy Lucky.” I told him while scratching his chin which earned me a purr and tail wag. “Meowmalade I don’t think he’s just my servant anymore.” I can 100% make him attack her if I wanted him.
“You know I don’t think it was completely you.” Mittens said from his cell. “He didn’t really like Meowy all that much to begin with.” Can’t argue with that, but again still requires testing. I patted his head and smiled.
“How about this, go upstairs and get one of Geo’s little costumes that he has.” he nods happily and starts to walk off. Before that happened though I grabbed and held him in place, he didn’t resist.
“Before you go.” I start before gently taking the golden triangle that was the sigil off him and tied the ends together. “Just so it isn’t lost, you’ll get it back when you come back.” My hand puts it on the floor.”
“Just remember you love me.” he starts drooling a little but after a few seconds he was back up. His eyes looked like they turned back to normal, though a purple tint covered them to show my influence. I would love to figure out how to make these things orange.
The fox quickly slid through the bars and went to back up through the foxhole. There was a whine from the grey cat when they did.
“Are you kidding me, I thought he’d be used to get us out of this place. Not play dress up.” She was sitting on her tail like it was a pillow.
“No that was to annoy you, I could’ve had him attack you ya know.” great now I’m talking like Mittens. “That and I’m thinking of what to try.” my ears pricked to hear the fox hole and see Lucky looking basically the same but with a flower on her left ear.
“I couldn’t find anything that I wanted to wear.” he admits and smiles as his eyes go back to spirals. Mittens looked intrigued, guessing he wants to know what I can do with the fox’s mind next.
“Are you two seriously just playing with him? I want out, thank you.” I got visually annoyed and got Lucky into my cell again. When I do I giggle. “Lucky, you’re a dog. Go sick her boy.” I had to physically keep his mouth closed as he took the order.
Afterward he got on all fours and barked a little. Rubbing his ear I pointed to my sister. “Go get her.” He quickly went into her cell, stood up and tail whipped her before coming back.
“Good, we’re done for the day.” I say before lifting the hypnosis and giving him his sigil back. All he did was take it, hug me and leave. Weird I thought he’d tailwhip me too but no, just left. The object I hypnotized him with turned into a ball so as to not look suspicious though that is what it normally looked like for that reason, I just thought the toy gun would be better.
“Alright you two.” I said grabbing the thing. “Lucky’s oddly willingly on our side, or mine more accurately. Only a matter of time before the Kitty Litter is out of here.”

After returning home with the book of ages Lucky and the rest of the guardians have locked up the cat family who've given them so much trouble, though one day the brainy cat out of the bunch decides to try, test, and find herself a way out of the situation involving the fox and just a little bit of hypnosis
After only mostly a year I've returned, just be happy it wasn't actually a full year just close to :3 anyway I started this after finishing New Super Lucky's Tale and since hypnosis is mentioned to be used by two of the main enemies why the heck not.
Also should mention I finished this because the series anniversary was the 28th of March so only just over a month late. The ending suffers cause of my word limit for myself but there'll probably be a part 2 anyway so... yes I'm gonna try for that but again Wattpad is my focused
