Kali had always had a knack for delving deep into her research, and this time was no exception, going wild with her ideas. Since she had visited the other world, she wanted to be able to retain such valuable research without venturing to their realm again, and so her obsession with portals began. It took a good month for her to get down the proper technique, but she was confident she could bring a section of a city to her realm with minimal damage.
She took in a deep breath, so many variables could go wrong, but she had to press on. Kali had set out a wooden platform on her study desk that would act as a foundation, with two size appropriate portals swirling at either end. All which was required now was an appropriate amount of arcane and the specific coordinates. She placed a cupped hand over either of the portals and began to channel, eventually sending a jolt through both her palms which kickstarted the realm hopping process.
Kali looked a little bemused as nothing occurred for a few moments, before tendrils sprouted from the portals and began to materialize a rectangular array of grey buildings. She was -oh- so familiar with the sight the Humans from another world inhabited, placing her palms on the table just to loom over the city as it finally took form and the portal process ceased, the purple illumination dimming away, and the only light sources being the candles which bore a gloomy orange casting dark shadows onto the thousands below at obscene angles.
“Hello, mites~” She spoke with a constant grin, they would soon know their place.
