I've been promising myself to go back to basics, that is simply ink and colored pencils. When I bought my first tablet PC in 2005 I never planned on it replacing my traditional work, and it didn't at first. But over time I did more digital and less traditional pieces. So i'm putting aside Inkscape for a while and focusing back on colored pencils.
This piece was done in the style as most of my old Yerf stuff with ink and colored pencil on plain copy paper. Normally I would use Crayolas and whatever cheap ink pen I could get. This was done using all Prismacolor and Pigma Micron on Canson Bristol, much more expensive materials. I just wanted to draw a simple portrait with a simple pose and I completed it in about a day. I have more such pictures in the works.
