In the distant deserts, a sandy ocean of waves, an artifact had been discovered within the Mushroom Kingdom. And Bowser, being the stubborn Koopa King he was, dreamed of the day he would finally be rid of the troublesome plumber that had caused him so much humiliation and frustration in the past. Now when news of the strange artifact reaches Bowser, he is quick to jump at the opportunity to seize any asset that would aid in the destruction of Mario. However, when Bowser ordered for the retrieval to the artifact, he would be very disappointed when his koopa troopas would return.
Bowser received word that the artifact had been successfully received. "Go on, send them in," Bowser grunted as he one of his clawed fingers eagerly anticipating what the artifact could possibly be. Unfortunately for Bowser, when a small group of nervous koopa troopas walked in front of their Koopa King that sat upon his throne, his gaze filled with judgment. "Well," Bowser demanded, "where is it?" One of the koopa troopas hesitantly stepped forward and held out an hour-glass. Motioning for the koopa troopa to get closer, Bowser leaned forward, looming over the koopa troopa as he roughly grabbed the strange hour-glass. Silently inspecting the hour-glass, Bowser annoyingly grunted. The hour-glass looked like any other antique, inverting it only made Bowser more frustrated when the sand failed to flow through the narrow opening. "Is this really all you found?" Bowser calmly asked as he laid the hour-glass to rest on a pedestal next to his throne. The koopa troopas nervously glanced at one another before briefly nodding their heads. "THEN GET OUT YOU USELESS LOT!" Bowser roared as the koopa troopas quickly scrambled towards the exit.
After an uneventful rest of the day, Bowser prepared to go to his chambers when he remembered about the seemingly broken hour-glass. Grabbing the hour-glass along the way, Bowser slammed the door behind him as he entered his chambers. While inside his chambers, Bowser proceeded to mess with hour-glass endlessly during the night, his frustration endlessly growing.
By the time the sun was rising, Bowser's frustration had peaked. "What a complete waste of time," Bowser grunted as he lifted the hour-glass and smashed it against the floor, "USELESS!" Little did Bowser know that he had just sealed his fate. Almost immediately, sand and dust began to flow out of the hour-glass along with a mist that quickly surrounds Bowser. "What is going on, wait," Bowser noticed sand accumulating around his body and forming up his legs and one of his hands, "what is happening to me?!?" Helplessly struggling, Bowser quickly realized that his body was transforming into sand. As the cursed sand flowed around the Koopa King’s body, there was little to nothing he could do as his body got devoured and replaced with sand. “Gaahraa! Help me!” Bowser roared as the sand formed inside his mouth and flowed down his throat and krept into his eye. Once Bowser’s body is completely enveloped and a few seconds of spasms as the sand devours the rest of his body. Once the spasms ceased, Bowser opened his eyes to reveal a blank gaze void of emotion. Bowser could feel nothing physically or emotionally. Pain, anger, breathing, taste, and touch were now all absent. Bowser’s entire body, tongue, teeth, hair, claws, horns, eyes, shell, and all are now composed out of nothing more than sand that flakes off with every movement and flex of his joints. However, Bowser’s spiked bracelets were the only parts of him that remained unturned. “Huh, I think this place and everyone in it would look better being made of sand,” sand flaking and spraying from his mouth with every word. Bowser grins showing off his sandy teeth as exited his chambers, leaving a trail of sand behind him with every step as he prepares to transform the kingdom, starting with his own castle...
Now because Bower was transformed into sand, his mind was also altered. He did not care that his old body was gone and embraced his new sandy form. Needless to say, Bowser’s subjects will have to get used to the idea of their ruler, the king of the koopas being a walking pile of sand that plans on turning them into sand copies of themselves, possibly permanently...
