The 5-pointed star. Point-up, it's called a pentacle, and is a symbol of nature, harmony, and protection.
Point-down, it's a pentagram, and means the exact opposite. Defilement, discord, and harm. That's why it's so often used as a 'satanic' symbol.

Actually, point up or point down it's called a Pentagram and with a circle around it it's called a Pentacle...point-down without the circle, it's an inverted pentagram, and point-down with the circle it's an inverted pentacle.

It also does not mean defilement, discord or harm because Satanism is not associated with any of those words.
"Satanists use a pentagram with two points up, often inscribed in a double circle, with the head of a goat inside the pentagram. This is referred to as the Sigil of Baphomet. They use it much the same way as the Pythagoreans, as Tartaros literally translates from Greek as a "Pit" or "Void" in Christian terminology (the word is used as such in the Bible, referring to the place where the fallen angels are fettered). The Pythagorean Greek letters are most often replaced by the Hebrew letters לויתן forming the name Leviathan. Less esoteric LaVeyan Satanists use it as a sign of rebellion or religious identification, the three downward points symbolising rejection of the holy Trinity"
As a Satanist, I should so very well know my stuff about the Sigil of Baphomet (I wear it around my neck every day) as well as Satan, Baphomet, Belial and Leviathan.

Ah, that's right. My bad about the naming, I totally forgot, lol. I knew there was a difference between the names, but I fucked it up a bit XD
and there are a whole shitload of different satanic religions dude. Hell, La Vey's church claims to be atheist, I believe. Leastways that's what the last one I talked to said.
But there are satanic religions that use it for that reason, certainly. Just not yours.
And ANY inverted religious symbol has the reverse meaning of the normal one. Though with the crucifix it's hard to tell, because inverted it means some pretty bad shit, but if it's just upside down then it's the cross of St. Peter, which meas humility... which gets confusing when one realizes that an inverted cross and a merely upside-down one have no apparent differences due to the lateral symmetry of the crucifix XD
but I digress
inverted pentacle still sends the wrong message, and DOES mean harm in several belief systems.

I'm not a Satanist. I am in fact a christian, but I have to admit the pagan symbols like the pentagram of the leviathan cross are pretty cool
oh, didn't realize I didn't post on this ._.
anyways.... took it as an inspiration, thought I should tell you guys.
am a raptor myself, so I can't identify with a metalfurs icon...... and didn't know how to do a metalfeathers icon, would've been a tad bit weird anyways.

I don't mean to be mean but. The icon is misleading, it makes it look like more of a "Satanic Furs" page.
The metalfurs icon does not look like really Metal symbol to me. Having metal bands/metal music are not always into satanic. CMIIW.
Suggestion: Better to change the icon?
