Okay so this one started after a very strange evening. I was on Discord while back wanting to draw, but not sure what I wanted to draw. A Swedish friend of mine said draw a snake. Okay, I did. He said bigger, so I did. He said BIGGER... Well this repeated until I got to the level of Jörmungandr. Problem was I had mispronounced the name like four times to his irritation, so I changed it to Jörmie, and did it like a Hanna Barbera cartoon. It was a very still night. In any case, I took the sketch, and painted it up to look like the cover to a cartoon DVD, looking at the Jetson's for reference. It's kinda stupid, and the puns are bad, but it put a smile on my face, so I hope it puts on one yours as well.
Question Time! Obviously this took a giant monster from North Mythology and turned it into a silly cartoon. Is there any other creature or character from mythology that you think would benefit from a silly (if apocryphal) cartoon make over?

Maybe the Fenris/Fenrir wolf, and his two sons that chase the sun and the moon until the day of Ragnarok? I bet they could look cute in this style :p
Dude, this is awesome. The Hanna-Barbera look is captured perfectly and the puns line up with the type of hilarious zaniness of that particular cartoon era. Be proud of this piece, because it's fantastic. This should have been a TV series. : )
I also like that your Swedish friend insisted on bigger, and bigger still. Let him know he has great taste in sizes. ; D

Hmm, there can be a lot of material that can be covered if you're looking into mythic creatures. Níðhöggr, Fafnir, Fenrir, Cerberus, Sleipnir, Sköll, etc. You could even look at more obscure ones. There seem to be a lot of creatures associated with eating the sun to cause eclipses, for example.
The Kraken, the giant spider Tsuchigumo from Japan, Garuda, Sobek the Crocodile God.
If you considering modern myths what about Mothman.

Cerberberber is fantastic to make cute!~ Great for making big too if you so choose~
What about Chang'e's "Moon Rabbit"? Making the name a bit more literal while she's trapped on the rocky ball.
Honestly, having a giant macro Snake to hug the earth doesn't sound a bad thing at all :3
Tiamat in her dragon form (Babylonian creation myth, Tiamat and Marduk)
