Sarge grunted as he pushed open a heavy metal door. Ever since the factory had closed down, the machinery had become old and hard to use. And since there was no more power in the factor, Sarge had to resort to manually opening almost every door he found in this place. To his chagrin, the majority of these doors were automatic… but without power they were almost impossible to open without an insane amount of brute force. “Dang it… I really hope Magzox isn’t stuck behind any of these things. I’m getting exhausted trying to open ‘em all!”
An hour ago, he and Magzox, a kobold friend of his, decided to explore the factory. With proper permits in place, the two had ventured in and were planning on sticking together, but it seemed the factory had different things in mind for them. While rummaging through the drawers and cabinets behind the reception desk, Magzox accidentally opened a chute that, had just enough power to suck him into a chute…. As luck would have it, it only put him on the other side of the chute’s door and not further down.
“Hey, cool! I think this is where the delivery stuff would go!” Magzox said, though it was muffled by the slab of metal between him and Sarge. “I’m going to go deeper! Maybe there’s an office that overlooks deliveries? Kinda like in those old factories!”
“May be for the best, Mag… cuz I can’t open the chute anymore. Seems whatever it did just drained the last bit of power here!” Sarge replied as he tried to shove the chute open.
“Coming from you, that’s a surprise,” Mag said in shock. “You’re like… the strongest non-dragon, non-human guy I know! I saw you lift a car once!”
“Dense muscles, dense bones. Great for strength, not so much for flexibility.” Sarge sighed as he knocked on the chute. “Well, go see if you can find that overseers lounge or whatever. I may have to try and budge open some of those doors to get to ya.”
Now an hour into prying doors open Sarge had gone from the reception desk to the office area, then to what he hoped was the back end. Sarge was regretting his choices. It would have been helpful if he’d brought a crowbar or something to more easily pry open the doors. He and Magzox assumed the doors would have handles or safety latches to unlock in case of power outages… but these doors had neither. “Safety hazards, it seems. Anyone who gets stuck here gets…” Sarge finally pried the door open. His mind flooded with relief when he saw long lines of conveyor belts with shut down machinery all around.
“Finally made it!” Sarge gasped as he leaned against a nearby handrail. Lolling his tongue out of his mouth, he panted heavily for several seconds. Now that he wasn’t thrusting doors open, he felt hot from all the labor. Once he managed to fully catch his breath, Sarge took off his shirt to help himself cool down a bit.
With a hand on the rail, he gently walked down the steps of the factory. Putting his hand to his mouth he yelled, “Magzox?!” His voice echoed throughout the facility as he crept further down the steps and onto the main factory floor. Once his echo faded, he was met with a silence that made his stomach churn with both excitement and worry. It seemed this factory truly was abandoned, meaning it was a perfect place to explore – but he couldn’t do it without Magzox.
Sarge crept deeper into the warehouse. “You there, Magzox?!” he called again. Once again, he was greeted by silence. Continuing deeper into the area, Sarge found himself standing nearby a row of large, cylindrical contraptions. The metal sounded hollow when he knocked on it.
A thought came to Sarge. “If you can hear me and I just can’t hear you, I’m going to start heading toward that overseer place we-
With a startling bang, the lights of the facility turned on and the loud whirring of machinery began. A cacophony of clangs and hisses arose around Sarge, causing him to panic and fall backward. His head slammed against the metal contraption behind him, causing him to squint his eyes shut and hold the back of his head. Breathing in through gritted teeth, Sarge could hear the loud noises continue for a few more moments before it all stopped.
Once the pain died down, Sarge opened his eyes. Despite the hissing and the clanking lasting for only a few seconds, the noise was jarring enough to cause Sarge’s ears to ring…. At least, that’s what he thought.
Putting a finger in his ear, Sarge realized that his ear actually was not ringing. The machinery was. A high-pitched tone was emanating from the metal contraption Sarge banged his head against. It had a small green light on its front. Perhaps it was an indication that the machine was on… but what was it supposed to do?
Grimacing, Sarge began to back away from the machine. He only got a few feet before he felt something solid jab him in the rear. Yelping, he spun back around and ended up tripping over a wire on the ground. Landing on his hind-quarters with a thud, Sarge felt his front pant button pop. Getting to his feet, Sarge reached a hand backward and grasped onto the thing that inserted itself into him. He could feel a cold, pliable material that seemed to have jammed itself into him.
“What… what is this?” Sarge attempted to tug at the material but found it was stuck fast. Within a few more seconds, Sarge’s pants tightened. Looking at his midriff, Sarge noticed his belly was expanding outward and he was beginning to feel bloated.
Sarge heard radio static coming from above him. A moment later, a voice rang out from the static. “Ahahaha! Sarge! This intercom I found works!” It was Magzox. The kobold’s usually calm voice seemed to be overexcited with the discovery of an intercom. “Did… anything happen?”
Sarge’s ears perked up. His mind began to haze over as he could only concentrate on the feeling of his stomach expanding and tightening. He could feel the front of his belly sag downward as its weight steadily increased.
“I pushed a few more buttons and the screen says ‘Found Container: Now Filling’ … whatever that means!” Magzox said, dismissing the message almost immediately.
“Filling?!” Sarge’s eyes widened with panic as he turned around completely. He could see the material was a long tube that connected to the contraption behind him. “Ack! Is this a hose?! I can’t get it out!”
Sarge felt his stomach tighten even more. He heard more radio static, but his mind was too fixated on his problem to notice what was being said. Clenching a fist around the hose, he tried to stop its flow… but it seemed to be fruitless as the water pressure was too strong for his grip.
His belly inflated rapidly from the deluge of water that poured in. With a sudden gurgle, Sarge’s belly shot outward and his pants immediately ripped at the seams. “Urk… I’m feeling so bloated.” Staring down at his belly, Sarge rested a hand on top of it. It was certainly still firm to the touch, but he could feel it threaten to jiggle with any movement he made. Despite how tight he was feeling, his belly continued to expand. “Why… is my belly still inflating?” Sarge choked out, now feeling woozy from the many sensations he was having. “I went past capacity already….”
Unable to control his legs anymore, Sarge’s knees buckled, causing Sarge to fall flat onto his back. With the wind knocked out of him, he was unable to move… and if the situation continued, he was going to be stuck here.
Reaching down the best he could, Sarge tried to grasp a hand around the hose. It was just a few inches away from his finger, but his efforts were now futile as his belly was pinning him down with the immense amount of liquid inside of it.
“Urk… Magzox… Help.” He whimpered, resting his head on the ground with defeat.
His belly continued to expand as he lay there. Its bloated appearance became bouncier as it started to spill over his thighs, then his knees, and then his feet. Any movement Sarge would make caused his belly to jiggle and slosh around. It felt surprisingly pleasant to him. It was almost like being inside a comfortable swimming pool… one that he could close his eyes and almost… fall… asleep……..

Magzox had managed to turn on the security cameras. In doing so, he spotted the helpless Sarge as the werewolf continued to inflate. Finding a manual in a nearby drawer, Magzox attempted to turn off the machines but found the turn off was to remove the hose from the “container” it was in….
With a big sigh, Magzox sat down and rested his head against the gurgling stomach of his friend. He could feel the soft fur sway back and forth underneath his head. In spite of being stuck in a factory, Magzox couldn’t help but feel relaxed. Sarge was always known for being a big teddy bear pillow… but now he had a jiggly physique to match his soft nature.
“Mag… what… are you doing?” Sarge asked, unable to crane his neck to look at Magzox.
“Resting. That hose is NOT coming out, y’know!” Mag looked down at the manual in his hands. He frowned.
“And whose fault is that?” Sarge asked, snarling.
“I already said ‘I’m sorry for pushing random buttons that turned you into a waterbed’!” Magzox protested, pressing his head deeper into the werewolf and making them yelp as Magzox’s horn pressed a bit too deep.
“Magzox!”
“It’s not my fault that your belly’s always been soft and comfy! It was great as a pillow… and a bed… but I never tried it now!”
A growl rose in Sarge’s throat. Magzox took notice of this and cleared his throat. “But look at the bright side! The manual says the process will automatically stop in eight more hours… and we also learned you make a good waterbed.” Magzox poked Sarge’s belly. “And you enjoy being inflated more than you originally thought!”
Defeated, Sarge sighed and closed his eyes. “This… is the fifth strangest adventure I’ve ever been on.”
“What’s the first?” Magzox asked, cocking his head to the side.
Sarge went silent for a moment before speaking up in a quiet tone. “I’ll tell you later.”
