A little light fury re-imagination. Can’t say I’m 100% against her design in the movie, but they definitely could have played around with her colouring a bit more. Not sure if this one in particular could still be called a “light fury”, but think I’m still happy with how it turned out.

Abso-fucking-lutely.
I'm generally not a big fan of her design altogether, but its a minor nitpick alongside the horrendous writing and forceful ending of the movie... Not that the general change in artistic style is overall that great either.
But yeah, its funny. Its like they did everything in their power to make sure the audience despises her as much as possible. Its not for no reason she's the most disliked character in the franchise.

And whats worse is that people still think its a masterpiece.
Nah, Dreamworks just wanted to make the whole think more marketable and child-oriented. Funny enough, it made less than the second film. Even Boss Baby made more than HTTYD3. I guess thats why they're pumping out sequels for that, lmao.

I read in the artbook that they decided to color her white because they wanted the audience to clearly differenciate them when watching them fly at a distance. From a design perspective it's understandable in my opinion, you want the two different designs to read perfectly at all times while remaining true to the physicality of the species. This is a really great take on her regardless!! I'm absolutely in love with her eyes and the subtle markings <3
