FSL Final Score: Chain Gang 9, Devils 0
Art quickie I made related to the fictional roller derby league I write about, the Furry Skating League. In what was the league's lowest scoring game ever, and the league's one and only game where both teams finished in single digits, the final score was this:
Alley Cat Chain Gang of San Diego: 9
Glaswegian Devils: 0
The winning team has three different names, but the official long name is "Alley Cat Chain Gang of San Diego," captained by Gerrard Davis, a former undercover police officer. It is more common, however, to say "San Diego Alley Cats" or "San Diego Chain Gang." They have a tendency to win games by playing physical and keeping it low scoring (similar to the New York Enforcers as seen in the television show RollerJam), but they weren't counting on it being this low scoring, nor were they counting on shutting out the Devils.
"I guess we were both having a really bad day that day," Davis said in an interview. "We like to win by playing physical and keeping it low-scoring, but we usually don't score less than about 34 points. The point of roller derby is to score as many points as you can."
