A silly idea I had in mind, and a struggle I face since I've (obviously) gone for Tepig as my main Pokémon in any Mystery Dungeon games with him in it. Though maybe it's not just being defeated by water-type Pokémon that worries him. :P
A small story to go with it!
"Are you coming, or not?" Snivy urged, standing at the crossroads just outside of Post Town, where she and her partner, Tepig's exploration team base was located. Her fire-type partner, who she often cited as one of the bravest Pokémon she knew, stood motionless, staring at her from a distance, and looked at her with a pathetically frightful expression, a far cry from the usual positive demeanor she was familiar with.
"Um... On second thought, I've had a change of heart," Tepig meekly replied, not moving an inch from his spot.
Snivy's already sharp expression furrowed even more. "A change of heart? If I remember right, you were the one that told me we're taking double our usual mission requests this week. SOMEONE wanted to gather enough Poké to upgrade the nursery in our base." She began stomping towards him, the large exploration diapers hugging her bottom giving her a wide, toddling gait. She stopped mere inches in front of Tepig, leaning in threateningly close. "Isn't that right?"
Tepig couldn't deny what Snivy had said, but even the incentive of a colorful new nursery wasn't enough to make him budge. "Well yeah, but..."
"But nothing. I'm not going into a dungeon alone." The grass-type paused and veered her glare away from Tepig before continuing, "Besides, you're not the only one who wants that nursery."
Tepig shuffled in place, his big pampers shifting behind him with a loud rustling. "...Did you have to choose the mission that takes us to a water-type dungeon?" Snivy gave a scoff and rolled her eyes, finally getting to the root of why her partner had gone from a bold, headstrong teammate to a reluctant piggy. Tepig winced, realizing it wouldn't be so easy to convince Snivy to let him off the hook.
"It's the mission that's paying us the most. Besides, what's it to you? You've fought plenty of water-types before. Don't tell me you're scared of a type disadvantage all of a sudden," Snivy jeered, crossing her arms and tilting her snout up in the air haughtily.
"That's not the same as going to a place where I know I'm going to be walking out drenched!" Tepig fired back, his voice rising. He gave a little snort and let out a few embers from his snout. He then looked down, his cheeks starting to heat up, speaking quieter, "Fire-types like me don't do well with waterlogged diapers, y'know." He then turned around, Snivy frowning as her partner's massive padded rear came into view, and he began waddling back to base. "I'm going back."
"Oh, no you don't!" Snivy shouted, giving chase after him, and quickly catching up. Tepig gave a gasp as a pair of hands were planted on his huge, soft diaperseat, his partner making short work of spinning him back around towards the path leading out of town, and pushing him across the ground from behind, powder clouds flying from the thick padding hugging his rump. "I'll change you if I have to, you big baby. Now move your titanic rear!"
Startled, Tepig began to see there was no way out of this one. Snivy wouldn't let him live it down if he did abandon this request. He could only hope that the grass-type pushing his poofy backside along would live up to her promise once they returned to base that evening. And if he were smart, he'd look to buy a package or two of waterproof diapers for next time...

(shoves Tepig also) Look Tepig, I know you're not a big fan of this dungeon, but if you can become "Tepig" man and traverse through this dungeon with the team, no matter "water" waiting for us, we'll get you new plenty of equipment to "pamper" the team with. X3
Looks really cute and adorable there btw. Props to you. ^.^

Dang we need to get him the waterproof pamps next time, and maybe some more water training.
You'd think that too, but my with my Cyndaquil form always has to remember to get the waterproof ones
I will keep the one Pokemon that you never drawn as my starter. Cyndaquil is as cute padded up as any Pokemon. My Cyndaquil will jump into a water dungeon in replace of your Tepig.
Oh no
Should have prechecked what type of dungeon it was before buying diapers
Love seeing your artwork, it's adorable and cute even with the small story

Can we get an after of this, after the "water attacks" have caused this padding to swell and get soggy?
Im gonna go out on a limb here and say I dont think hes worried about the type disadvantage in a water type dungeon. Hes worred about something else >~>
Awwwwwwwww! This is so freaking cute! You did an amazing job on this bud!
These two starters are so adorable, especially in their powder puffing butt cushions, hehe ~
This is amazing and I can definitely see water types being big trouble while wearing that much comfy poof.
Gates to Infinity doesn't get anywhere near the love it deserves, +1 for the extra flavor giving it a bit of appreciation~
Wow! It's incredibly cute! Especially the story and those diapers so well made
super cute, can you please Marshall from paw patrol that would be super cute he's my favorite character.
I wonder what the aftermath of their adventure would look like o: Now I’m curious...
That is my trouble too. My first dungeon was actually my weakness as grass is hard vs bug and flying, but thankfully I had Pikachu to help me.
Thanks to this picture, I'm going to find a good occasion to say "Move your titanic rear!" to a padded buddy sometime. Cute and wonderful as always!
Super cute, nicely done! Always glad to see more PMD content from you :D
Cute idea!
The diapers get bigger, poofier, and more well decorated as you rise in rank. The symbol changes to fit your rank but explorers can figure out how high up you just by your diaper size.

this is honestly one of the cuter PMD ideas i've seen, i'd pay to see more of this world
