We have a new husky in the pack! We've decided to name her Gypsy, in part because it matches her adventurous and fearless nature, and in part because we have a tendency to name our pups after dubious career choices. (See previous pups, "Pirate" and "Wizard".)
After Rio left us, we knew that we'd eventually want to bring another husky into our pack, but we weren't sure when we could fit one in, with our busy fall schedule. Gypsy just happened to be available at just the right time. We'd considered some puppies from a recent litter (adorable little things!), but we didn't think rushing through the puppy-raising process before our next convention (Rainfurest) was a good idea. Gypsy is 6 months old, which is young enough to still have lots of puppy energy, but old enough to adapt readily into our home, and big enough for Wizard to have fun playing with her as nearly an equal.
I'll try to not spam this account with puppy photos. :)

Your husky is really cool!
Ummm... I needed to say :P I think that the word "gypsy" has taken another bit different meaning in the US, like a person who works in fairs and those stuff, no? But actually is not a career but an ethnicity from India that came to Europe *chuckles*. Anyway is a cool name for him! And it's very cute!
Congrats for you nice new doggie :) I wish him a happy life with you!

Yeah, after to write this, I searched in wikipedia and found "In North America, the word "Gypsy" is commonly used as a reference to lifestyle or fashion, and not to the Romani ethnicity." so I retract my words, because the meaning of it is different in our countries. I mean, a gypsy (gitano) in Spain can live in a sedentary way and he/she continues considering him/her gypsy, and in the other way, a vagabond who isn't gypsy is never considered like one, here is more taken in the ethnicity meaning... The definition changes there, so now I know what you mean XD
Anyway, definitions appart, the name is pretty cool, fits him very well
