At the County Fair, the Danger Rangers were participating there once again. This time, it was for a charity event for the less fortunate children whose parents couldn't afford family vacations. For this, Ranger Kitty and the Backup Singers were hosting it by filling up a couple of kiddie pools with water. Because it was going to be a hot one that day, the cats made sure they've all covered in sunscreen.
Rachel, the tabby who works as a firefighter, was in charge of using the hose from a nearby fire hydrant. Kitty, Nurse Penny, and Officer Bernice were tending the kids who were playing inside other rubber pools. Rachel was about to fill up the next pool when suddenly, a disturbance broke out. There was a kid who was crying at the top of his lungs, kicking his legs. "It's okay, dear," The mother said to her frightened son. "You're not drowning. You're perfectly safe. It's not deep." While Bernice and Penny were checking out what's going on, Rachel was just watching this unfold. Even Kitty was watching this happen right next to the tabby.
While those two were distracted, she dropped the hose. At that time, someone was walking towards the hose behind the tabby. Apparently, this figure had long ears and has an orange shirt with a star on it. He chuckled deviously as he carefully picked up the hose and tied a knot in it. Once he did that, he dashed away and hide behind a nearby tent. At that moment, the crying stopped. To Rachel's peers, she sees that the mother was taking the frightened child away to comfort the poor soul. "The poor kid..." The tabby replied softly. "Even if the pool's shallow, he's still afraid to swim," Kitty added sympathetically. Rachel then looked down at the rubber pool in yellow and green, remembering that's the next pool to fill up with water. "Alright, time to this one up.' She said as she turned the hose.
But when she did, no water came out. She stared at the hose, looking awfully confused. "Huh?" She reacted, shaking the hose. "What's wrong? "Kitty asked. "No water." "How could the fire hydrant be out of water?" Kitty asked. "It's connected to the city's water line." Rachel looked back to see what was preventing the hose from shooting out water. Her eyes widened when she said what's happening. All the water that was backed up by the knot caused that part of the hose to swell up rapidly. "What is it, Rach...?" Before Kitty could even finish her sentence, the growing balloon bumped into them. The tabby was being hoisted up from underneath. For Kitty, she was nearly squished from the balloon down below. She managed to crawl out, but it was still growing onto her like fast. At this rate, it was growing to pass the size of a wrecking ball. "Whoa!" Rachel yelled, laying on the ballooning hose. Her yell caught the attention of the other two cats.
Rachel and Penny turned and saw something big and teal growing. They can see Rachel from the distance. "Rachel!" They yelled. In a flash, they scurry their ways towards the hose. By the time they've arrived, Bernice noticed what was going on. Seeing that knot holding all that water back, the gray cat bellowed. "What the!? Who tied a knot in that hose!? I don't remember this being part of the event!"
What they don't know is that the perpetrator was still on the premises, watching the incident take place. Who is he and what could his motive be? Better yet, will the hose explode any moment now?

I can imagine being on top of a balloon like she is here.
If it's for a commission I could. Though if it's a request. I don't do those.
