Before too long, exhaustion was written all over Haru's body. After all, when it comes to Rath's punches and kicks, even an Adonis like him has his limits. Just as he was about to drop to his knees in defeat, though, he was suddenly and violently yanked back up by his hair.
And next thing he knew, his stomach got caved in and all the wind knocked out of him.
After several vain gasps for breath, when his eyes could finally focus again to some extent, the sight that met him was the face of the karate master who'd effortlessly bested him: once stoic, but now openly showing his sadistic enjoyment at having found a punching bag sturdy enough to take everything he could dish out.
A second gut-cratering punch came. Then, after a few short moments of reprieve, another. Haru endured punch after punch, willing himself to stay conscious for as many as possible.
For that, too, would be a mark of honor to him.

Thank you. I had more in mind for it originally (it was supposed to be a proper story with dialogue and a complete fight scene), but ended up having to scale it down just to get around to posting this at all.
I really don't have the motivation or energy for large-scale writing projects, it seems.

Comics would be nice, but they're also insanely expensive to commission, especially when they span multiple pages. And no telling if I'll ever have the drive to tell a full story from start to finish... but you know what they say: a picture tells more than a thousand words.
