I've got this world in my head. And there's this dude. A grumpy old goblin, so far unnamed, who works under some -yet to be developed- mage that works as part of a castle guard. The goblins in this world can be pretty brutal and, like many of the monstrous folk that betrayed one of the old deities, are near impossible to kill, so most folk are afraid of them.

Umm no details set in stone but his face was destroyed by a group of thugs wanting to get rid of him. He's a good tracker, even better than hounds, and even better at tearing his targets apart if he's allowed so he kinda has the rep of 'watch it or the guard will send the goblin out'. Criminals just wanted to take him out so they set a trap. But he survives, barely.
