Eternal - Masters of the Universe fan character neu
I did this about two months ago.
Based on the new Masters of the Universe series, I updated Eternal in this appearence a little bit.
Just to have something to post. I haven´t drawn anything sensefull in a while by now, because of several reasons.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe belong to their respective owners

I can imagine why he's mistaken for a criminal - law-abiding people don't generally wear bandannas without circumstances necessitating it...like a fire or volcanic eruption.
Hehe true. But in Eternal´s case it is a means to give him a feeling of security. (Some shy people feel easy, if wearing a mask or sunglasses, while dealing with other people, as I have heard^^)
I'd take this version any day over the version of Masters of the Universe we ended up getting
I see.
Do you refer to the Netflix animated series or the CGI version that was announced as of lately?

Animated series. Haven't seen the CGI version but the animated gets on a lot of people's nerves for tricking them into thinking He-man will be in a majority of it (he's not), blatant mistreatment and disrespect of source material, and is too far removed to be a continuation of the original series (it's not a reboot, it's suppose to be a follow up.
He-man was always a bad show but it had charm and while I can appreciate certain character development, it tries WAY too hard to be mature and treats the original's charm and fun as something to be assumed of (Even though it's set in the SAME CONTINUITY!)

Mhm straying too far off from the original source is never a good idea.
Maybe it helps to think of it as some kind of independent story universe, like a paralell dimension of some sorts, where the characters are the same, but the story itself is different. Loosly connected, but at the same time on its own.

I wish I could but the series and creator straight up state that it is supposed to be the same timeline as the 80's cartoon. It would have probably been if it WAS a reboot but it wasn't.
This is the same timeline where He-man can punch the goddamn moon away, drill into the center of the earth with a stalagmite and magic chains back together cuz 80's and you're telling me he dies by stab wound?

If that is so, then the only way to take it more easy is to think about as as that, what it originally is: Just an animated tv show, a story someone came up with, nothing more, nothing less.
A healthy distance is sometimes the better option to get a better approach to a story. I have encountered many movies and stuff, where the creators thought, they did a perfect job, but they didn´t, like with the real actors movies about the Asterix comic franchise. Within 5 movies, they simply were not able to come even close to the charm of the source material. I just accepted that, watched the movies once just to learn the story and that was it.
If I ever get the chance to see the new Masters of the Universe series, I would do so, and be it just because of the anthros featured there

Take it from me bud. THE CGI He-Man is A LOT better then Revelations. And has Sasuke Uchiha as He-Man.
Hehe yeah. It has Spider-Man as He-Man. When he has the Great Power, it comes with Great Responsibility.
Man it just blows my mind the Mercury Black is now He-man. He really upgraded past his robotic legs
Oh dang! Eternal got beefed out! But poor guy; the strong stature getting him arrested constantly. I’d want to hug the big guy!
This allways happen if a book is judged by its cover^^;

Jeez, two months ago? I was thinking about Skeletor and even had a friend show me a staff he made of Skeletor's. All within maybe around two weeks time.
I actually was thinking about showing you some funny Skeletor memes, even though I...don't quite like memes, but I like his English voice actor and how he perfectly conveys the silly voice. But regardless the intent was to show you funny stuff. That and also I can tell from how many diverse creatures you draw, that you'd be into Masters of the Universe....meanwhile I am completely lost on it because I have no idea what goes on other than maybe a few seasons start out as truly Saturday Morning Cartoon shenanigans before getting anywhere remotely serious. Which goes much the same for Thunder Cats.
Also you or Eternal are not the only ones who don't feel secure without a mask.
Typh here, or....me in real life, would prefer to wear a Keaton Mask (The Fox Mask found in Majora's Mask) on my face so that I feel more comfortable in larger crowds and in general around people.
Sad part to that is that...I can actually play the Keaton Mask's owner from Majora's Mask, not because of my size, but...because of somewhat similar reasons. Shame, I hate my face, don't want to be noticed, don't want to reveal my face to anyone who isn't worth my time, an aversion to social interaction (but I am not rude to anyone), and in general...sorrows or sadness that I'd prefer to keep to myself and or closer friends, I do in fact have plenty of the proper hair style and young look even under the mask, I can legitimately wear his outfit properly since I like long sleeves.
E-er...that more personal stuff aside since this is public! I would in fact wear a mask in public in real life if I went to something like a convention for furries....if I was invited and I couldn't refuse because I'd be leaving that person alone and I can't do that in any good conscience.

I was introduced to Masters of the Universe by my mother as she was a fan of the 1987 real actors movie with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man, but I was too young to understand much of the plot and parts of it scared my.
Later I watched the 80s cartoon show and I liked it. Several years later I became a fan of the 2001 version, which is still my favourite of the franchise for its character designs and because of many good german voice actors.
So you are referring to Alan Oppenheimer then, who voice acted Skeletor in the 80s cartoon version. I had seen a clip with him voice acting memes of his character for the fun^^
As for masks, I am the same. I hate crowds and the nearence of other people as well. That is why I would prefer to have a different body, anthro overall to be honest.

Your mother seems to be a fan of quite a few animations or cartoons. I wonder how she feels whenever she sees those extremely high framerate anime moments (since most of the time its more...stiff, stilted or just the frames just kinda...have no inbetween motion in them.) because whenever I see those it looks relatively, absolutely insane. That and how a few animes in the 90's actually used rotoscoping to make something either look 3D or they did in fact use CGI and it looks GOOD. Its absolutely amazing.
She has good taste in how creatures look and are animated, design choices even. Even though I don't quite like the designs in the Masters of the Universe since Eastern and Native American designs attract my eyes more.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You saw that!? I watched a few times spread out, and I'm glad you saw that! He has such a perfect voice for him, in fact, I think he could be a better, older Waluigi if......oh god. I keep forgetting that Charles Martinet is old...and his time is coming at some point. Alan Oppenheimer would be perfect to make a reference for Waluigi as a voice actor appearance for a Waluigi role! Mostly since they sound a bit similar, not the most similar, but just enough to bridge them together.
Alot of the memes he chose are just....the memes literally emanate Skeletor energy. That's what's weird. I don't even know Skeletor and I get a good sense of him through the memes, even though the memes are not exactly the best source for him. Skeletor's energy seems to radiate Sarcasm alot! And I also love how Skeletor says "What?" as it sounds like "Wat?", its just so perfectly executed that its just him.
The "I'm not beautiful like you, I am beautiful like me." is just...if you could put Skeletor's classic personality into a perfect form, that is it.
E-er...huh. We..seem to share these similarities quite deeply. I'd prefer my Typh's body since...well, as I've said it far too much to the people I like, he's just literally me. Culture Shock, I like very specific clothes, I seem to like silk or very soft and smooth clothes the most, I like my clothes to be flexible and comfortable, and I'd like to have this kind of iron-looking body. Just the most skinny yet extremely powerful muscles that allow all of the flexibility and no restrictions, and just....exist and try my best to still be me since that is all I can do, and also Native American by quite a bit. However, I don't think I could wear a mask in that form, as I am less nervous in that form and nor would I hate my face much at all. And also I don't think a normal Typh can wear a Keaton Mask because....snoot. You couldn't wear a mask like that either because of your snoot too.

*Sees He-Man with a gun* Wasn't expecting that.
Oh yeah there..are guns in He-Man's world and he uses one occasionally. Just a bit jarring to see it live action and not...a cartoon.
Yeah I can see why she likes it and it scares you when it did, and how you loved the 80's cartoon more and then became a fan of the 2001 series. The animations carry it a bit better and in a more friendly way!

When I watched parts of the real life actors movie version for the first time, I was about 5 years old. That was in 1992. No wonder, it scared me. Later I thought it was pretty cool, especially Beast Man and Kobra Kahn (although he appeared just in two scenes before Skeletor turns him into ashes) and Meg Foster as Evil Lynn was hot and Courtney Cox was adorable^^
That explains it. Well, at least you didn't watch a movie called "Eight-legged Freaks" where its a weird...horror comedy about giant spiders ravaging a city and also eating and or killing people. And then one of the more hilarious scenes is where the warehouse or...some large building gets blown right up and you just see the largest spider just being flung into the air, not even in pieces. A whole spider you just see flying up in a goofy way. But either way it freaked me out really hard! Along with any other commonly scary movies like The Grudge and...The Ring. Anything really nightmare-ish and terrifying.
huh i never knew he was an oc for the master of the universe! neat!
He can blend into any story universe he likes^^
I love this version of Eternal. Sad people judge by the appearance too easily. We could all use such a strong and nice friend on our side.
Second that
thanks much

I do like this buff version of eternal. Although you’re perfect whatever form eternal appears in 😁
man, they better not take the bandana off when they capture him. Like, he will stop talking altogether?
At least he would no longer fight back, becomes quiet and tries to not lock eyes with anyone
Always love to see hunky Eternal x3 no matter the form or body shape, Eternal’s always recognizable and handsome, and I truly admire that about his character design and your artistic skills <3
Maybe, a terrible looking scar or more of them over the muzzle
It's a shame I never watched that series xD! But this one is so damn cool x3! Buff Eternal is definitely something xD! I love how big and intimidating he looks like xD! I really liked him x3! His bandana seems like a over the nose gag xD! And of course, he is really nice to see all bound too with his hands behind the back x3!! Really amazing drawing x3!!
Thanks much.
I especially recomment Masters of the Universe 2001 to you, because in season 2 there are anthro snakes as antagonists and in some episodes, you can see them tied up. That would be right up your alley^^

Eternal probably would apper in an episode where the moral of story is "Don't judge people on their looks". He is such a nice guy to be confused with a criminal.
Ahhhh if your referring to the masters of the universe revelation show, I'm sorry dude but from what I've seen of the 5 first parts of the show its not very good.
I was hyped a out it (I even made a journal on it) when I saw the first trailer.
But then I got to the end of the first episode and the rationality started to go right out the window.
I won't spoil stuff for ya if you really want to watch it.
Honestly I'm just doing the show now for some of the creature designs, a few neat ideas and some good animation.

Since I have no access to Netflix, I hardly can watch the series anyway.
But even so, when I get the chance, I would like to see the whole story first, before I gather a critique. I learned early to see franchises and their reboots as different independent topics. I only respond not so well, if the first try to convert a story into a movie or tv series is straying too far off from the source material

Well astheticlly the show looks a long like the original show but with better detail and some inspirations from the 2002 series.
I do recommend that 2002 reboot.

The 2002 version is so far the best version in my oppinion. Fortunatly I have got all the episodes^^
Buff Eternal is hot but I still prefer regular ol' Eternal.
Given the different continuities with the 80s and 2003 series, we could imagine this as Eternal having visited them at different points with different avatars maintaining some similarities of appearance but assuming a slightly different role.
I could see this Eternal in the original series with a moral for the story about not judging others by initial appearance. Eternal perhaps getting arrested after being mistaken for a criminal but Orko being the one to first realise that he's shy if friendly. With Trollans also covering their faces and considering showing their face to others as an intimate gesture he'd be quite understanding about wearing a mask.
Orko and Eternal might well become friends and we could imagine them getting into a few misadventures with perhaps a running theme of Orko's magical mishaps resulting in his new friend getting tied up in various bondage type situations.

"Intimidating appearance, actually harmless".... >:) Oh there's some ideas ;)
Warden Wolf might have some fun with that ratty babe <3 :) Those big peets just look so tempting
ah good to see you draw this version of Eternal again! I love him for obvious reasons ofcourse! =P
though a handsome masked rat as this litterly begging to be cleave gagged with a bandanna while he still wears his trademarked mask'^^
I guess I should get working on that myself^^

I wonder why..^^
Of course his poor luck will lead him sooner or later to a situation such as this^^

Love this big buff rat. He looks so hot tied to that stake... so now I'm imagining him strolling into some town, and the people there freak out and tie him up, assuming he's a wanted criminal, and this happens so many times that Eternal just calmly goes along with it. XD
Thank you very much.
Yes, this scenario is most likely to be happening with buff Eternal^^

Hmmmmmm ok, I admit it, this look really good with all and the binding stuff in a strong looking character uwu approved! XD
It is hard to bow in respect and gratitude while being bound to a pole, but buff Eternal tries his best *squirming bow*^^
Oh I don't mind, he can try it out uwu one of the appealing things in bondage is the struggle afterall uwu
Poor guy, that's gotta be rough being mistaken for a bad guy all the time like that.
Much too often one is judged by the outside looks.
Eyes can´t be trusted.
Eyes can´t be trusted.
Sometimes there is truth to that, yeah.
Its just a shame that it keeps happening to him, even though he has proven himself to be a good man.
I'd actually give him a hug to comfort him.

A friendly embrace is a friendly embrace, it doesn´t matter who delivers it. The gesture is what counts.
No doubt about that!
