Back in July, I visited Botanica in Wichita, Kansas. My primary objective was to get some photos in the Butterfly House exhibit.
There were a number of species represented, from the bland to the beautiful. As a bonus, I photographed some bees who were visiting the flowers in the garden just outside the Butterfly House.
These photos were all shot with my Sony 100mm Macro lens with no cropping or image manipulation.

Thanks. These were especially hard to photograph. They rarely landed on anything long enough for me to get a shot. It's like they were all on caffeine highs.
Visiting one of the many varieties of Echinacea daisy.
We can always count on the Perfesser for a botany lesson.
Beautiful shot, I love the resolution on the flower and how it well balance the vivid colours of the butterfly's wings. Great job!
