Looks good :3 But a suggestion? Maybe darken the ground underneath the wolf more so it doesn't blend so much and the wolf pops, since its going to be on a calendar on someone's wall, you want to think of what they will want to see far away and up close. I love your fur texture ^_^
Thanks for the critique! Since I've already submitted this to the contest I doubt I can change my entry (and the due date is tonight, anyway). I can see what you're saying about the wolf blending into the background. I was trying so hard to make the subject appear to BE in the background I placed him in, maybe I blended him in too much. There actually is some purple shading underneath him but it is quite faint. Oh well.
