Hund sat on the gym floor, back straight and feet outwards as if trying to touch his toes. Though in his current state, performing such an exercise would be near impossible. Hund’s usual fat stomach caused the husky exerciser to really grunt to get into the stretch. With a belly four times its regular size, he would be smooshing into doughy fat more than touching the tips of his feet. And what was causing the typically chunky husky to get even huskier? The answer was one of the oddest preys he’s ever encountered. Hund looked down in confusion as an imprint formed on the surface of his stomach. It wasn’t a bump from a fist or the crying head of a desperate prey. Instead, it appeared to be a pumped and powerful chest that rhythmically pressed against the blubbery dome.
“What do you think?” The prey asked.
“Ugh, what are you doing?” Hund answered with another question.
“Chest bounces. I thought a guy like you would know what that is.” The prey answered.
“Right, uhm….” Hund began.
“Angela,” the prey said politely.
“Yeah, Angela,” Hund said in acknowledgment. “You are not scared at all?”
“Why would I be scared?” Angela asked with genuine confusion. This threw off Hund even more.
“Most people that get ate by me don’t usually want to be in there,” Hund said, giving his stomach a press near the imprinted chest.
“I mean, it isn’t pleasant, sort of like our first encounter, but I’ve seen worst,” Angela went on. “By the way, do you always eat people that ask if you need help while lifting?”
Hund blushed and began scratching his head. “No, but what makes you think I need help with my lifts?”
“Your bench press seems alright, but I think with a spotter, you could really increase the weight you can lift. Speaking from personal experience.” Angela said. Hund was about to snap back but then he heard the muffled sounds of bells ringing.
“Hello,” Angela said, answering the phone. “Hi, honey! How was work? Oh, that bad, huh. Leaving early? Ok, I’ll be getting ready soon. The noise? Oh, I just got eaten by a husky, funny story. I’ll talk to you later! Love you! Bye!”
“Your stomach has great reception,” Angela said as Hund felt her slide her phone into his pocket.
“Who was that?” Hund asked gruffly.
“My husband. He had a rough time with his boss today. Coming to pick me up.” Angela said nonchalantly.
“Oh,” Hund said, rubbing his stomach possessively. “So, you want me to let you out now?”
“That’d be nice but not necessary,” Angela said in reply.
Hund raised an eyebrow as he looked down at his belly in confusion. Angela caught the silence and continued to speak.
“He has to pick up my kids first, so he probably won’t be coming for another hour.”
“So you are a lifter and a mom?” Hund reiterated.
“Mother of three beautiful dragons!” Angela said. Hund looked down at his stomach with some guilt plastered on his face.
“Yes! I would say I have been a lifter for longer than I’ve been a parent, but I still am learning about both each day.” She spoke.
“You are really positive,” Hund said, still surprised about how nonchalant Angela was able to maintain this conversation.
“With how busy my day-to-day normally is, you learn to keep your head up.” She spoke. Her surroundings suddenly began to shake violently. “What are you doing up there?” Angela asked, concerned. “I said it’s fine for me to stay!”
“You bore me, and I can’t eat a mom!” Hund said, gripping his round sagging stomach with both hands as he bolted his way to the lockers.
“Thank you again for letting me out there.” Angela said, “It took a while to get the smell of dog out.” She added with a chuckle. The powerful dragoness stood topless in front of Hund, exposing her well-sculpted physique to the softer yet equally strong husky. Her broad boulder-like shoulders tapered down to a set of 8-pack abdominals that lined her yellow scaled underbelly and a narrow waist that completed a classic bodybuilder V-line. Her biceps and triceps were mountainous, bulging out marvelously as she rubbed the back of her head, flowing with brown hair. The gesture caused her glasses to slip off her face. Still, fortunately, they landed on the broad plateau of her pectorals which stuck out prominently from her chest. Quickly, she dropped the glasses back onto her face and looked back up at Hund.
Hund scoffed. “Ok,” he responded, not wanting to continue this conversation.
Angela paused, debating whether to just leave or ask Hund about his rudeness.
“Don’t you have to go see your kids?” Hund said, wishing to get Angela out of his sight.
“They are coming,” Angela said, looking down at her phone.
Hund looked over behind Angela’s back and noticed an unusual gym goer. The dragon was much smaller than the usual folks entering the gym (even the pipsqueaks that came during the start of the year.) It was easy to mistake this person as a toddler given his size, but what really sold the image was his youthful scaly blue face, and matted brown hair tossed messily over his head.
“That yours?” Hund asked, pointing in the direction of the kid.
Angela turned her head, and her eyes beamed, “Hunter! Over here!” Hund watched the pitter-patter in his step as the child quickly approached them.
“Hi, sweetie! How was school?” Angela said, picking Hunter off the floor. Hunter didn’t answer, though mesmerized by Hund.
“Mommy, is this the dog who ate you?” Hunter asked. Hund looked to the floor in embarrassment.
“Yes, he is,” Angela said without malice.
“Wow, he must have a big belly!” Hunter said excitedly, reaching out a palm in Hund’s direction. Angela lowered his arm and looked down at the excited child.
“That’s not a polite thing to say to strangers.” She scolded. Usually, when Hund was told of the prominence of his stomach, the offender would end up adding to it. Instead, Hund looked down at Hunter in Angela’s arms scoffed.
“It’s fine; I get that a lot.” He said cooly. “Want to see a trick?” Hunter nodded excitedly.
Hund took a deep breath, sucking his stomach in. Surprisingly the round protrusion nearly disappeared into Hund’s torso, causing the husky to look almost trim and fit. After a short while, Hund released his breath, causing a wave of lard to surge forward and again. Hunter laughed cheerfully at the site.
“Nice trick,” Angela said. Hund smirked slightly before lowering his head again.
“I’ll see you around,” Hund said, making a quick retreat into the gym. “Sorry about the eating thing.”
“I’ll see you later, Hund,” Angela mainly responded to herself as Hund had created quite the gap between them. With Hunter still in her arms, she made her way out of the gym to conclude a very different first encounter.
