Late joint Christmas gift between myself and Spellflare done by Nenana-uso. Thanks so much you two!
So Spellflare and I have been friends for a good long time now, and we've shared our love of MMORPGs. He plays FF14, I play WoW, and we enjoy each other's characters and stories. At one point, we decided to RP one of my characters meeting one of his, and eventually we built a family out of it.
So it being the holiday season we decided a family photo was in order, and here's the result. By the way, as FF14 doesn't have set classes but rather jobs that can be swapped at any time I won't be giving his characters classes, see his comment for his preferred jobs for each. :)
First up on the top left is the pair we got started with, Spellflare's roegadyn Thraxus and my Kul Tiran druid Bron. Just about the gushiest of the pairs, they met and bonded quickly, with Bron slowly being brought out of his hermit mode and back into the world by Thraxus' exuberant nature. The two can't get enough of each other, and are ecstatic that they managed to bring a new family together for everyone to live and love together.
Next up in the center is Thraxus' father Soekbael, or Soek for short, and my Kul Tiran death knight Connor. The salty pirate found Connor after he washed up on the same island as the death knight, who being animated by death magic, basically being undead, had fallen under the thrall of a siren who controlled the unliving. Soek freed him and the two bonded on their trip back to civilization, and now Connor is dedicated to his mate and master. After Connor and Bron helped the father and son work through some past wounds, they became closer as a family, with Connor and Soek becoming the "granddads" to Bron and Thraxus' "dads" in terms of family structure.
Top right has his roegadyn Night Snow and my human paladin Einar. The grumpy old paladin Einar had grown up in Kul Tiras and moved to Stormwind with his family. Inducted into the paladin ranks, he became a teacher and a strict one at that. However, one night a free-spirited roe blew into town and swept the unsuspecting Einar off his feet, and they've been together ever since. He reunited with his childhood friend Bron and the two joined the family. They're the "uncles" of the group.
And lastly the newest additions and youngest pair in both age and time together, his hrothgar Arphan and my human warlock Orsin. After Connor and Bron took their mates to Kul Tiras for a vacation, they visited the Mildenhall meadery, upon which they met Orsin who was keeping it running as the rest of his family was AWOL. After impressing them with the quality of his own personal mead, the two roegadyn practically kidnapped him to broker a deal back on their home world and home city. After a brief detour and a dramatic fight to protect the whole family and a place precious to Thraxus, Orsin was smitten with Arphan, one of the fellow defenders, and the two have started to feel out their relationship as Orsin juggles his new responsibilities as a merchant and mead maker. They're the "sons" of our merry family.
So all eight chose to pose for a photo to celebrate the season. Bron beams warmly as Thraxus gazes over his family with pride. Soek kneels, grinning confidently as Connor wraps an arm around his master, face bright. Night Snow poses jauntily and Einar wears a rare, but still quiet smile. And Orsin and Arphan can barely keep their hands off each other long enough to take the photo, their affection for each other clear.
Hope you all enjoyed meeting our guys! :)

It's Soekbael! XD But you landed them perfectly.
Now, when it comes to FFXIV most people will have preferred or main Jobs that they will use whenever they can get away with it. In the case of Thraxus, any of the Healer jobs (White Mage, Scholar, Sage and Astrologian) are his bread and butter, with some of the magic DPS (Summoner, Black Mage or Red Mage) for flavor. Soek is more given to either the Tank Jobs (Dark Knight, Gunbreaker, Warrior and Paladin) or the melee DPS ones (Monk, Samurai, Reaper, Dragoon) and Night Snow prefers the ranged DPS ones (Bard, Dancer and Machinist) Arphan breaks that theme and mostly goes with anything dealing with technology regardless of Job role. Now, Thraxus does try and follow a Nature theme, Soek a War theme and Night Snow an Art theme, but that's mostly me :D
They can change Jobs at any time and main different things depending on what they want tho :D
