It is not much.... This baby deserved so much more. Deserved so much more life and love and time with us. Time he didnt get.... So I wanted to at least make this small Memorial collage of some of my favorite pics and moments spent with little Poof.
He was my brothers kitten , but in the end had chosen me as his person he bonded to the most. I miss him so much... Rest in piece my little fuzz bucket. You are so very loved ❤
Poof Timeline
Born 10/17/21 to a friendly stray .
Adopted with his sister on 12/12/21.
Both Babies rushed into Emergency Vet on 12/29/21 with loss of appetite , and wobbly legs. Diagnosed with a cold like virus and put on amoxicillin. Poof Got Fluids as he was dehydrated. Brought back home that night.
On 12/30/21 The babies seemed to be making a strong recovery. They were getting their appetite back and were no longer wobbly legged. Taking there medicine well , we thought we were in the clear.
At 5am on 12/31/21 we awoke to find poof comatose laying down in his litter box. He was unresponsive. We rushed him back into the emergency vet's where they confirmed that he had slipped into a coma. They tried warming him back up but to no avail. His veins were collapsed. He was gone.
Poof was diagnosed with FIP the morning we lost him. He and Mandy both had it , but his had mutated into the deadly strain. His body was full of fluid.
It all happened so fast... to fast. In all likely hood , Mandy and Poof came home with this virus from the shelter. His siblings had ended up getting sick as well we later found out. They started showing symptoms AFTER we had adopted Mandy and Poof. FIP is very contagious and very easily spread among large groups of cats , and is especially cruel on kittens. When we were given the diagnosis , we quickly passed the information on to the rescue in the hopes that Their remaining siblings , and other kitties , can be saved from this horrible virus.
We only got to spend 3 weeks with out sweet baby boy , but we will never forget those three weeks. we will never forget Poof. He will live on in our hearts forever. ❤
I may try and draw him to help immortalize our little man , once my heart has healed a bit.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I hope all the rest of your babies are healthy and doing great. You did everything you could for that little baby from beginning to end. ❤️
I can't imagine the kind of pain you're going through, so all I'll say that I know that those three weeks you spent with Poof were the best moments of his life, and he is likely at peace because of it. I can only hope that knowing this will help ease your pain a small bit.
Omg I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a cat with fip many years ago but hers never mutated and she lived to be 13 years old.
Our other kitten , my kitten , Mandy also has fip but hers has not mutated. She is on amoxicillin but we are having to watch her very closely. Im sos cared im going to lose her as well. She seems to be doing remarkably better on the meds but im still a nervous mama .
I’ve been there. My kitty Matilda was on meds until she was about 18 months old then she basically went into remission and lived a good long life. It can be stressful but just give her all the love in the world either she will make it threw this and grow up into a wonderful companion or it may mutate but at least she will have your love and live the best possible life she can.
