This is my first entry for the Express Yourself Contest!
While I do not know which genre to define this as I do know that it belongs somewhere in the bass category :P
Anyway, this song is pretty much me emotionally when I get into a hyperactive phase. While the major key mostly represents happiness (which I mostly am in these phases) there certainly are moments where I just lose my emotional control and get a bit too excited, making me seem like a maniac. :D

WELL DONE GOOD SIR
WELL DONE GOOD SIR
Killer synth lead, really nice drop with the snares. Really good snares and arps in the drop! Good filtering and even more crazy arps at 0:40.
Nice dub!
Nice dub!
Ever mind if I can poke your brains for your sound design? What VSTs do you use, or patches do you make to make your wild pads, lead, and wubs? You also do some great arps, and use square waves on the high end in the drop, which I really like.
Furthermore, what're your snares like? You have good punchy ducking, or punchy kick - snare grooves and fills. How do you make the drum kit sound clean? Do you have a Master Chain or a Group you use?

Sound Design: My main VST is Vital with my own presets (including the saw wave arp) (I can send them to you if you want!)
A little bit of Linear Folding and AllPassPhase (Disperser but in free)
Drums: The drums I used were just from the Disciple's Stay at home Sample pack without a lot of extra processing so I cannot tell you that much about the processing (besides Sidechaining everything of course)
Mastering: A little bit of Hard Clipping, Soft Clipping and Ozone 9 Elements were enough in my case!
Sorry if my reply is a bit abstract (currently playing games :3)

I looove Vital! I actually started the Share Your Songs thread on the forums! You can DM me your presets, I can share my sample pack folder! I sidechain my drums and use EQ and layering to make it slap. For extended tails I add a reverb and gate. AU5 has great drum synthesis tutorials.
For mastering I generally use a -6db hard limiter with a Mac Peak Limiter. Very gentle EQ at the very end or use a gainer to reduce or punch more gain without it clipping. My head room I try to have -2db even though peeps say use LUFS with Melda’s Span.
Thanks a bunch! I’ll go make my game more today :).
