Hi, this is my entry to the Express Yourself Contest! <3
I always find it difficult to express myself in music. Like I'm always repressing and gatekeeping words and feelings, as to not taint the music in a certain way. That's why most of my songs are instrumental.
So my main motivation was for this song to try and defy that, going from a shy, soft electro-acoustic song into a burst of reverb, distortion and maybe boldness.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it, and have a fun listen!

Thank you so much! I'm very happy on how that transition turned out, and I struggled a lot with my vocals so I'm glad that you like them! <3
The entry and exit of instruments really takes you on a journey! Sounds very natural, almost like a live session. I think taming the lows in the mix and increasing the high frecuencies a little might help to make it seem more of a studio song, but I don't know if that is what you are going for here.
The intro is beautiful, the sounds add a lot to the atmosphere, and the changes feel full and interesting. The chorus is 10/10! Very solid entry right here. Good luck to us all in the contest :)

Good luck to us all indeed! :D
I wasn't going for a live session feel at first, given that the two sections are pretty different in terms of sound quality, but I ended up liking the result! I still on my way to learn how to make the mix sound closer to studio-quality, so I'll take your advice on the lows and highs.
Thank you for your input and I'm glad you liked it! Btw, heard your two entries and liked them a lot too!
