KAIROS, a primordial god-spirit belonging to the skies, incarnates itself through a dragon avatar.
Made purely of aether, the amorphous god attaches a part of its own soul to these vessels in order to experience various 'lives'.
While a part of KAIROS lives within these dragons, their individual personalities may vary, but are unified in their likeness.
Kaira, the character depicted, is the current incarnation of Kairos. (can be referred to by either she/her or they/them)
She's docile and favors reclusiveness up in the skies, but will stick alongside those who she considers close.
While stubborn at times, Kaira is fiercely loyal and strives to protect all her companions, even if she's left to exert herself.
Despite her carefree disposition at times, she is deeply tormented by her past and feels conflicted about the god lying within.
She hopes to come to peace with the more complicated aspects of being an avatar, before it consumes her.
Designed specifically for flight, Kaira possesses a thick double-coat and two bulky pairs of wings, as well as frost-resistant fur & skin. As long as Kaira is in the air, they physically cannot become weary from flight and will willingly soar for months on end.
Avatars of Kairos can harness an atmospheric energy current invisible to the naked eye called Empyre, which they wield for battle. Empyre, when used as breath, appears as a light blue flame, but is frigid to the touch and can freeze. Empyre, in its frozen form, appears as solid crystals similar to ice, and can be manipulated. Empyre is harmless to the avatars, even capable of acting as a veil to camouflage into the sky and appear invisible.
"Fierce gales weave across the land as the breaths of KAIROS, ferrying clouds and airborne life alike on their many wings.
Some believe KAIROS will lead an individual to an opportune moment in their lives, willing them to rely on the capricious nature of the wind as a sign or motive to take action for themselves or on the behalf of others."
