This was a picture I had actually started last month but I took the time to rework the page layout and dialogues because the first ones I had come up with were not satisfying enough.
It seems like these Pokemon Training Programs offered by these Team Rocket guys are a scam! I'm not a Pokemon! And they're threatening me with pokeballs, but they don't work on humans, do they?
Do they?

Team rocket with a plan that's actually getting a good result? Colour me impressed.
Lol, now let's wait and see! After all, what could possibly go wrong?
My thoughts exactly. They said use overdrive... but didn't specify a target...
Man, after playing Arceus I'm still reeling from the lore that Pokemon can change their size at will lol
Technically, that’s been a thing for awhile-through the Minimize move.
While true, in the sense that the move existed, only 18 pokemon--so far--can naturally learn that move. So it's wild, to me, that Arceus just straight up confirmed all pokemon have that as an innate ability, which Pokeballs simply help them to easily achieve.
Really makes me wonder if a reverse pokeball of sorts can end up causing pokemon to easily go macro.

I mean, dynamax.
That said, minimize was originally more about minimizing the chance of being hit rather than actually changing the pokemon's physical size. I remember playing red and blue where the pokemon's size was unchanged after using the move, and this stayed the same until pearl/diamond (?). Early movies and episodes (though I did not watch them all) didn't have any such references to size-changing either. I also read some of the mangas and those too did not have any such references.
I imagine this was written into the lore with the Jirachi movie where virus groudon ate pokemon to grow and become stronger. People started asking whether that giant thing could be caught with a pokeball. Like, a lot. I remember that being a big question (for some reason). So I imagine that gave the writers some ideas moving forward.

I don’t think it could. For one, it had several pokemon inside it all at once-so the Pokeball woulda gone “okay. You wanna catch a pokemon? Which one, there’s like twenty?”
Second, it wasn’t even really a groudon, in the same way that Marowak ghost in Pokemon tower back in the kanto games wasn’t really a Marowak (anymore).

Slowking is already a mashup of two distinct pokemon in a parasitic relationship so there's no reason why the pokeball couldn't catch VG and let him keep eating the other pokemon too.
The Marowak Ghost didn't let you catch it in the same way a trainer might hit your pokeballs. Remember the ghost was owned by a trainer before it died. It's possible the bond between pokemon and trainer stays intact through death.

I mean, the training's hard but the results speak for themselves XD
I think it would be terrifying if you don't know what will happen to you, when the trainer threats you to go into the pokeball. There are a lot of theories out there and half of them are just scary.
More people applying for "Pokemon Training" programs? x3
And thank you
And thank you
If you make this a themed commission I'm sure some of us will sign up. I'm sure it'd be so much fun to learn how to train Pokemon. Wait....

I really love that obstinate look he has mid-change. Course it went away quickly when the poke-weaknesses came out X3.
Maybe this could be in the futur pokemon games ?
Or even better, the scenario of the next pokémon mystery Dungeon.
Still, Amazing work as Always pal!

I wish the PMD games had such TF scenarios! Could also be so much deeper/darker or more mature story wise!
You wake up as a pokemon! Reason? An evil guy turns people into pokemon to sell them, thinking they'll be more docile than wild ones!

For once, a Team Rocket plan I can get behind! Just gotta hope they visit my neighborhood soon…
