Whelp, have some old art I probably should have posted a long time ago. And will probably be using this as a general reference going forward for any Hearth Star characters. Regardless, enjoy some concept art for different Omni-Fork models...
The Omni-Fork is a common technological device among the citizens and soldiers of the Galactic Republic. A metamorphic eating utensil capable of turning into a variety of simple self-cleaning tools from screwdrivers to wrenches, the Omni-Fork can turn into any tool needed to screw, tighten, loosen, hammer, weld, or cut as well as a sturdy fork capable of handling some of the thickest cuts of meat, allowing GalRep citizens to always have something on hand for basic engineering tasks or for meal time (it's a shameless fatfur setting, what do you want?)
Naturally, there are multiple models of this device for sale or manufacture in the Galactic Republic, all slight deviations on the same core functions. In addition to several civilian models, each of the three defenders of the Galactic Republic (the Intergalactic Police Agency, Space Fleet, and the Star Corps) each have their own standard issue models.
IPA- The closest to the "common" design out of the three, however it does have a weaponized static discharge (basically a built in taser) as a last-ditch weapon.
Space Fleet- Most precise design, can create a number of precision tools for manipulating delicate systems aboard space ships.
Star Corps- Despite being the butt of many a joke about sporks and crayons, the Star Corps model is well loved by its users. In addition to being one of the most durable models available, the Star Corps version has a flexible morphic wrench useful for maintenance on wheeled and tracked vehicles and is one of the few models that can self-assemble into a hammer....

I was questioning why an omni-tool's main mode was a fork until I read the line about it being a shameless fatfur setting.
My favorite is the one on the right. It reminds me of a spork. When I was a kid, I used to pretend the spork, at lunch time was a power claw and made whirly engine sounds while shoveling organic fuel into a photonic incinerator.
I was a weird kid
I was a weird kid
yeah it's supposed to be based off of a spork as that sort of fits the personality of its users. :P Hehe, I like the imagery in that story, might give me an idea for how to handle one of the other things the Hearth Star furs play with.
Every science-fiction nerd was a weird kid growing up. I think that's a requirement
