Commission for liger626 ! I really love their characters and how much thought they put into them and their stories. Loved doing this, thanks for the opportunity! <3
Here's the story that goes with it (written by liger626 )!
Two canines sat in a semi open clearing hidden among the trees and bushes. In between them sat a large old cooking pot atop a small fire. On the left was a blue merle, sitting with a large book titled “Easy Outdoor Cooking for Beginners”. Which now he thumbed, or pawed, through looking for the recipe he saw earlier.
“According to the book we need: tomatoes, onions, some sliced potatoes, and-,” Lucky tailed off in surprise as he looked up from the pages, “-What are you doing?!” Next to him the jovial coyote, Scratch, was tossing in whatever he could find. Apples, carrots, a potato, and a banana. All of which was sent splashing into the soup.
“I’m cooking,” Scratch smiled at the former house pet next to him.
“But you're not properly preparing the ingredients! We need to consult the recipe, choose each ingredient carefully, and measure each twice!” Lucky stated.
“Oh, I don’t need some silly old human book. I happened to be an excellent cook! One of my many many skills,” the coyote responded by tossing in a large tomato.
“The only thing that you're good at is running your mouth,” a third voice cut in. Followed by a rustling of the bushes. The two canines looked over to see a large black wolf dog enter with a squirrel hanging from her jaws. She walked over to the pot and sat up, dropping the squirrel into her waiting paws as she glowered at the various floating fruits and vegetables.
The squirrel, much to Lucky’s shock, was still alive and begging, “Please don’t eat me! I’m nothing but fur and bones!”
Lucky almost reeled at the thought alone. He managed to stammer, “Um D’arc…we’re making a vegetarian stew today.”
“I say we make it a squirrel stew now,” Scratch chimed in.
“Bu-but it's not in the recipe!” Lucky pointed out.
D’arc just sternly looked at Lucky, “You haven’t been eating enough meat. You're still a carnivore. Domesticated or not. You need meat.”
She started to hold the rodent over the cooking pot. The bushy tail squirmed and scrambled trying not to fall into the bubbling stew.
Lucky quickly reached out to stop her from just dropping him in the boiling pot. He extended the book to hover under the rodent, while using his forepaws to push the squirrel safely over ground. The squirrel exhaled in relief, as they started to leave the area of pot.
“I told you I'm perfectly fine living the vegetarian lifestyle,” Lucky said, continuing to push the squirrel away with the book.
“C’mon Lucky a little meat will really spice up this stew,” Scratch licked his muzzle.
“And you need more meat,” D’arc stated. She pushed the book away, leaving the squirrel hovering over the pot again.
Lucky tried to push again, but the apparent difference between the two strength wise was very obvious. “I-I’m getting more iron and proteins. Nuts can be a very good source of those,” Lucky almost pleaded.
"You need to learn to eat hunted meat," D'arc pushed.
"I'll have it, if he doesn't," Scratch interjected, eyeing the terrified squirrel with a hungry expression.
"This isn't for you," D'arc barked.
"C’mon there D'arc. We're a pack and a pack shares," the coyote put on (what in his own words was a charming smile) and continued, "and the leader should have the biggest cut."
“Then go catch your own,” D’arc growled.
“C’mon can we have a peaceful veggie stew?” Lucky begged.
The squirrel spoke up from the side of his muzzle, “I agree with the dog.”
“STAY OUT OF THIS!” D’arc and Scratch barked at the rodent.
Lucky’s ears lowered as he looked at the title of the book again, “So much for an easy cooking.”

In reality, the pot makes the squirrel a super mini giant and... those canines become his pets
Somehow, with all the ingredients flying all over the place, this immediately had my brain decide that – yes, this needs to be accompanied by the "cooking" noises from Zelda Breath of the Wild. Loving it! x3
