It's another bright afternoon and the dynamic trio are at it as usual working through their daily tasks. The night prior had been pretty busy with Cinderace, Floatzel, and Lucario all plugging away at a new program for their school work. Lucario had drawn the short straw and ended up staying up all night making adjustments... eventually falling short of the living room couch and crashing on the floor for what little rest he could find.

Now approaching noon, Floatzel was working at his desk near the apartment window while Cinderace was wrapping up his lunch in the kitchen across the room.

Letting out a hearty yawn, Floatzel was clearly still feeling the effects of the long night before. Wiping a tear from his eye, he called out to Cinderace. "Hey Cinderace, can you come take a look at this? I think it's all good to go now."

"Sure. Just a sec." Cinderace replied dumping several plates into the sink before shaking his paws clean.

...

"Uh."

"What's the matter?" Floatzel asked, oblivious to what was happening behind his two massive balloons for tails poking out from behind his chair.

"Lucario's tail is kinda blocking the way."

"Wait. He's still growing?"

Crouching down, Cinderace watched Lucario's tail swell ever so slightly bigger. "Seems so."

Floatzel rolled his eyes. Normally he was the one swelling in his sleep while Lucario was busy working on the computer. "Well, wake him up. It's already noon!"

"O-okay..." Cinderace leaned over and started poking at Lucario, watching as his finger sank slightly into Lucario's overinflated tail. "Hey! Lucario. You awake?"

After a series of poking, Lucario seemed to stir slightly. He shifted himself around slightly but the small movement was enough for faint sounds of rubber rubbing to fill the small apartment.

Lucario's ears perked up to the sounds and was quickly waking up to his senses. Wiping his eyes while trying to shake away the morning grogginess, Lucario replied, "Y-yeah. I'm up... what's the matter?" "

"Oh good! I was kinda worried I'd have to resort to Plan B... Well, you're kinda blocking the way so... could you... um... deflate?

Still wiping some of the morning stars from his eyes, Lucario flatly replied inbetween yaws. "S-sure... I'll defla- ......" Pausing, Lucario took inventory of what was going on around him. He remembered staying up all night but didn't remember making it to bed. With his vision slowly clearing, Lucario looked down to see himself surrounded by what looked like his tail now inflated into a makeshift bed!

"W-WHAT?!" Lucario shouted while scrambling in place trying to get on his feet. Unfortunately for Lucario, his flailing caused the air in his tail to displace to under his feet knocking him back onto his head with his feet held high.

Cinderace couldn't contain a chuckle at the maneuver and offered to help Lucario.

Shaking his head, Lucario looked around the room to see Floatzel sporting an impressively large pair of balloons for tails. "Really?!" Lucario hinted with a slightly annoyed tone to his voice.

Floatzel, completely hidden behind his own inflated tails. simply waved a paw in the air. "Hey, don't look at me! I should be asking you. Did you have a good dream or something?"

Lucario managed to right himself and was already squeezing his tail back to its normal size. "Not particularly... What'd I miss?"

Floatzel snickered at the opportunity. "Well aside from learning how to use your tail as a bed, I'd say not much."

Glaring over at Floatzel, Lucario kicked one of Floatzel's ballooned tails causing it to bounce around. “I meant with the program.”

Cinderace chuckled at the response. It was just another day with these two it seems. Not that he was complaining.
