A light from the past – Redoran
This is Redoran, a splendid dragon that I designed a decade and a half ago when I was only 15 years old and just starting to draw. Redoran is the first white dragon I designed, long before Cleíron or Clerian.
Redoran is big and handsome, with pearly scales and a proud sapphire-hued chest. His chest and belly are heavily armored, making him quite a heavy and bulky dragon at first glance. All that weight has made him develop a considerable amount of musculature in all his limbs, although he is still an agile dragon and a wonderful flier.
Speaking of flying, the white dragon has giant soft purple wings that allow it to glide and move through the air wherever it wants.
Redoran is a truly great dragon and a testament that from the beginning I always designed beautiful characters that still look good to this day. The result of this drawing has left me very happy. Although it has taken me a long time to do, because Redoran's original drawings date from so long ago that my current style differs a lot from how I drew him 15 years ago.
It's quite a challenge to revive old characters and keep them true to how they were.
Soon I would like to post a drawing comparison showing how much my style has changed over time. And I'm sure many will like to know that an artist like me had humble beginnings.
