For the most part at least.
Sure, he was in jail, but it was way better than the dungeons back in that old world.
The cell might have not been anything special, but it was warm, had a decent bed, and a nice window that bathed the room in the sun's golden rays.
After all he's done, Leo only had a two-year sentence.
Sure he probably deserved way worse, but luckily for him, he was only charged on the crimes he'd committed in this particular world.
Kidnapping and Assault.
The food wasn't half bad either; not to mention everyone got some as well, compared to some just thrown in a room and the people tearing each other apart to get some.
This jail might as well be a luxury hotel.
He looked over at the flowers that he had gotten that were sitting on his nightstand.
Surprising they were from both Jon Talbain and Aladar.
Though Aladar was still somewhat upset at him, it appears as if he still meant by what he said a week ago...
With that thought, he rubbed his hand across the bandages on his face. Delga sure did a number on him, but he seemed to be healing fine.
Taking a look out the window at the afternoon sun, Leo continued to remain silent with a small smile on his face.
He had to admit, he felt really wierd. For as long as he could remember, he was filled with rage, anger, spite, ect... Over just about everything, but now, there was none of that...
He was just... Content... Fine...
And speaking of...
Looking down on his wrist, well, he was surprised to see his wrists... Those shackles that had been around his wrist since he was imprisoned and turned into a beast had finally been removed.
This wasn't the freedom that he expected or even wanted, but he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
He knew that the slime demon was unable to enter this world, which was why he and Minotaur were sent to attempt to retrieve Delga. With Minotaur dead and the monster no longer having a hold on him, he was no longer a slave to anyone, and couldn't be taken away again to the cursed world. Sure he had his dues to pay here, but a couple years of labor was better than a life of rape and torture.
Of course, this also meant that he would most likely never return to Greedia, or to get back his original body that was sitting in a vat of slime somewhere.
But oh well. That monster can create as many clones of Leo as he wanted, but he knew that soul of the original was no longer in his possession.
He chuckled.
Him, Delga, and Talbain.
He wondered if that demon was absolutely fuming over the fact that his favorite original "toys" were no longer in his reach? Not like he could send anyone else after them since this world had cut connections with that one. Leo wished he could see his reaction, and who exactly the demon was going to choose as his next favorite toys.
Not that it was Leo's problem anymore.
With that thought, he laid down on his bed and continued to stare into the golden rays of the afternoon sun.
Nope, no anger here, only a content, smug, and free Leo.

Because as much as a jackass as I portray him, I still think he's really cool and I love him.
