Contains minor paw play and inanimate TF.
Kass' talons gently crunched the grass of a hyrule plateau, though something one may expect was missing. His accordion was not quite present, for he had lost it. It was so much a part of him that he'd been rather sad the last few days. The rito simply watched all of the scenery before him as he usually would while playing. Then came a familiar sound. A paraglider closing and the gentle grazing of grass from a boot.
Link. Horrible timing. Truth be told, Kass was really getting annoyed by this person. He always asked for Kass to play a song without any regard for how well Kass was doing, no talk, no help, just making Kass play a song, and now as Kass was the saddest he's ever been, must Link come here and annoy him more? Maybe, maybe not.
There was an old song written in Kass' book that needed no instrument, just a beautiful voice that was worthy of singing it. The song was meant for the hero of Hyrule, and although Kass knows that hero died 100 years ago.... well he knew that if the hero was alive or had a descendant, it had to be Link, for he holds the sheikah slate and he could swear that tunic is the same worn by the champion. And the lyrics of the song.... well they seemed to describe Kass current situation, maybe, just maybe... if Kass finds his voice perhaps he can sing the song instead of the song he meant to perform here.
Trying his best to avoid his annoyance Kass opens his beak "have you perchance come in search of a song?" Link replies with a yes, not surprisingly. "Hmm...." Kass closed his eyes and opened his beak though he didn't make a sound as he tried to find his voice... It was hard without the accordion but...
"When a hero falls to the ground from the air
A musician who longs for his instrument
Sings a song with a burden that he bears
As his voice shines like a beacon of light
A wolf becomes a hero in the night"
Link noticed something was missing, that being the accordion, though he of course didn't care. "It seems perhaps this song is only relevant at night, well nows your time, Link, though morning will be upon us soon, so be quick."
"Im on it." Link replied.
Little did Link know though that all that needed to happen was him present, and his body was already changing as that step had been met. His legs were itching horribly as he tried to think about the puzzle, and they only got worse, though perhaps most concerning was the.... claws on his hands? And paw pads! Not only his hands, but his feet too, and all of his hands and feet became less flexible, not to mention the fur spreading to all four of links paws, of course meaning the fur was also spreading across his entire body, both black and white fur. His face was extending outwardly in a painful looking way though he didn't make much noise, and soon his extending face was overgrown with fur too as his hair dissapeared. Link was no longer Hylian, but all wolf.
"Im a wolf! Whats going on?!" Link exclaimed, not quite mad or upset but confused as to how and why it happened.
"It seems the puzzle was solved when you landed. But I'm not sure what's next Link, your just a wolf now with nothing to do.... I'd love to lick your paws though I'd imagine there are more important things." Replies Kass.
"Wait wait wait.... did your song cause me to transform?" Link questions as he meets Kass eye.
"Yes.... it absolutely did... and.....
Once a wolf his purpose is gone
As the hero no longer lives on
Only an instrument among the feathers
Of a bard who wanders the land
Now strapped among fancy leathers
And the hero is now played by two hands"
Link felt more changes, though he was already a wolf. Not one to contemplate on his current wolf situation, he was already deciphering the puzzle Kass just sang. But as his front paws turned into a strange artificial material he panicked... The song! Kass was turning him into his accordion!
"Kass! You little-!" Link shouted.
"Is something wrong?" Kass replied back, unable to hide his massive smirk as the puzzle was being solved in front of his eyes.
All of links body turned into the material and some parts were more flexible then others. Kass sneaked in a lick or two on his toes as they stuck out beautifully from the side of his accordion body. Links head began to shrink.
"This can't be! The goddess will surely not allow this!" Link exclaims.
"Oh really?" Kass gleefully replies as he watches what remains of links wolfy head shrink into the accordion and dissapear. Kass picks up his new instrument. It seems entirely identical to his lost accordion though he has noticed Links paws aren't actually transforming into the accordion. It seems the transformation has accounted for his desire to lick Links toes and even better is that Link, though unable to talk, has clearly kept his conscious as his toes continue to wiggle on their own. Kass licks them and then smiles as he settles it down, the toes still wiggling furiously at their fate.
"You know Link, I once read in a library that goddess Hylia would one day give Hyrule a hero that she would betray, as the hero had no purpose, and that also the hero would be given to someone else as their own little pleasure toy. I can't say I thought it was a real story and I certainly never thought it was me! Hehehe. I guess your time in Hyrule is done. Hopefully the next hero of Hyrule is better and isn't dumb enough to be turned into an accordion with wiggling paws... ah just kidding, I always loved bad endings!"
And so, Link now an accordion, never turned back. Being an inanimate object living across generations until he was either discarded or taken apart, for there was no way to turn Link back ever, and despite the accordion having wolf paws, no one but Kass ever knew it was Link to begin with. As Kass read, it was exactly what Goddess Hylia intended, the legend was true. Why does not matter, for she is the goddess and she does what she wishes.
An idea I had and also an RP I did with a friend! I don't usually do inanimate TFs but here's another!

A really fun idea. Like to imagine the paws became the end of the accordion and the pawpads basically serve the same purpose as the buttons.
Hehe, didn't think of that and now I wish I did.
