No, I don't actually think this will be a banner. Just goofing around with a different technique to do morphing.

It's Fender turning into Rednef, the OTHER mascot :P
I think if you made this into a banner it would ruin the awesome effect of the morph =/
no room to put "Fur Affinity" on it =/

XD Whoops XD
I didn't scroll over to the right far enuf, stupid monitor resolution X3

This is a pretty awesome banner.
You could put it along the bottom, over the necks.

awhh that was one of my faves! I'm biased though I love most of the banners lol
Man, that's so awesome. It would be the best damned banner yet if it did get chosen. I love transformation sequences like this. Reminds me a bit of those old Animorph books x3
If only the character designs were more different, when this is made smaller its much more difficult to see the change! And I know that isn't something YOU did, that's whoever designed Rednef's fault :D
Really cool though. Love the scale details.

It's funny you should mention that, I thought so too. I initially drew the way I normally draw dragons (with a snout more like a dinosaur) and it didn't look like the character. It does make for a very smooth morph, though.
And you have no idea how much it wounds me to draw a reptile with external ears and buccal fat pads.

Some reptiles do have prominent cheeks, though. :D And ehh, external ears are odd on reptiles but I think I've seen dragons with them SO MUCH it doesn't really bother me. xD The only dragons I can think of off the top of my head that do not have them are Pernese dragons-->

Oh yes - I used to have pet iguanas. That's why I have this compulsion to draw the enlarged scales on the lower jaws of dragons LOL They just don't have those fatty cheek pads like mammals do. It's the obnoxious nerd in me coming out.
*winks* You're not a nerd, you're a "specialist".
Actually, when it comes to these critters, I use the "Dragon" loophole: As a mythological creature, it merely resembles a reptile. Same with werewolves: you are just turning into a hefty, clawed, fanged protoform that only resembles a wolf.
Lets see... a dragon I just recently put together at request of a friend has its scutes on its back, as protection against self electrocution from the stiff follicles extending from the spine which work to generate static electricity, not to mention an aquiline beak, and antennae which can redirect said electricity: Aaaallll kinds of reptilian no-no's. Besides, with Rednef, lets not forget the mammalian fat pads elsewhere *cough*
Or how about my favorite "Dragon" Flammie?... heh. fur, four feathered wings, short beak-like muzzle... much improv.
Regardless, this is a superior transformation image: I like some of the many subtle aspects, like the larger eyes, and how the ears, though they change very little, now naturally tilt back: that and any subtle changes that did occur are clearly represented. Also, I am amazed at how well you blended the transition between fur and scales. This is easily worth a favorite to me, and currently my all-time favorite banner:D Thank you for making it.

Heh, I know - it's a completely ridiculous and arbitrary mental speed bump. Doesn't bother me to look at, it just does to draw. Totally subjective. But at least I can admit it's subjective! I think it's because for years and years I mostly drew dinosaurs and lizards, so I have this locked-in stricture.
And you know what's funny is I use exactly that explanation for my werewolves, the vargr. They got the name werewolf because an ignorant peasant, seeing one in the dark and scared out of his wits, would when later trying to describe them use the most familiar local carnivore as a basis of comparison. Then, like a game of Telephone, it got pared down to "something like a wolf" and people who hadn't seen one themselves naturally pictured a critter that looked like a wolf. In fact, they're more like a big carnivorous chimp on steroids.

To avoid this sort of detail driving me mad, I just stopped considering dragons reptiles a while ago. Between the six limbs, the ears, and the warmer-than-warm-blooded fire-breathing metabolism, there are just too many non-reptilian features for it to make sense.
If this does end up being the site banner, I think it will be the best one I've seen. It's far past time for a transformation banner. This is beautiful.

Yeah, I should just repeat the MST3K mantra but I am SUCH a nerd. I ended up having to make the dragons in my "world" more of a special effect than anything else, although there are lots of perfectly ordinary terrestrial animals that are referred to as dragons. Kind of like how we have komodo dragons that don't fly or breathe fire.
And I'm also surprised there hasn't been a tf banner before. There was a werewolf Oct. one a while back, but that was Fender in a costume if I recall correctly.

Hey, its a hell of alot better than the peice ofshit banners we already get on this site. I mean look at the junk that we have for this month.. looks like my little sister drew it. =D I will ragequit the internet if this doesnt pass
Nah, I'd prefer to be Supreme God-Emperor. Although my cats would enjoy scratching up the furniture in the White House.
This is one of the nicest banner designs I've come across yet. :)
Still think it needs the Fender-tie, but the PB&J and furs-as-rockets ones didn't, so who knows.
What's weird and funny is that in my Submissions bin your banner is next door to this:

Great minds, etc.

Ugh, warning next time. My tummy's angry today, that didn't help.
OK, sorry about that. I get it, my digestive system has its off days, too.
GAHH this is the best banner ever. Very creative and beautiful. I hope it gets chosen! (maybe for January, since New Years is known for change?)
I want this as a banner. Plus, I'm so slow. I just realized that redness is fender backwards. Xp
How do you get your work to be chosen, anyway? Is it just random?
I don't care if it doesn't fit a monthly theme, this banner deserves to be used for sheer awesomeness
