The stage I shot a couple chrome photos on.
It's basically a seamless white setup. There's a piece of white foam core for the floor, and a roll of white paper in back, taped to the floor so that the white floor curves seamlessly into the wall. Lit correctly, there's no line dividing the two in the final image.
The cloth tent -- shown here folded back -- covered sides and top, leaving only the front open. The camera was on a tripod in the front, and I stood off to the side and used a remote trigger so I wouldn't show up in the reflections. The camera, and room, were dark so unless something like my pasty white skin was there, it just became all shadows.
For "Chrome Invaders" the tent was as you see here, dark grey cloth. Though I held a tri-grip inside the tent above the subject and hit it with a flash. For "argentum" the tent was a little more complicated. I'd taken some of that plastic netting used for effects on walls around halloween time, and made the tent of that. Then I draped a white cloth over the sides, but not top, of the netting, and lit it from outside. That made for textured, speckled patterns in the reflection.
