“Where is he?” Uniko taped his foot impatiently as he stood in place alongside his friend.
“He’ll be along, just be patient,” Galen responded simple as he held himself in a calmer manner than his horned friend. Both males happen to be in the forest, just outside of the village, both of them waiting for Zhal to return. After their last event their stripped friend reached into the sack and pulled out the next event but didn’t tell them a thing. All he did was smirk and give a hearty chuckle before telling the two to go wait out in the forest, which confused the two. They asked, but weren’t given a response back, so in the end they relented and went, and here they are. Which they have been waiting for nearly half an hour.
Just then Galen’s head perked up his ears twitched, prompting him to look off in the distance, “There he is.” This prompted Uniko to look as well, indeed seeing Zhal heading towards them, yet he wasn’t alone. Walking by his side is someone much smaller than him, smaller than them all.
As the seconds ticked by they got closer and closer, and Galen’s eyes rose as he could finally start to make out who it was, “Is that…Luso?” Indeed, the short, marble, fox is accompanying Zhal. Who seemed to have a puzzled expression upon his face as well, almost as if he didn’t seem to know what is going on either. Things remained silent until they were mere feet away from one another, stopping in their tracks. “What’s he doing here?” Galen then asked his friend.
“I was going to ask the same thing,” Luso responded as he folded his arms, looking up at the tiger for information.
“Wait you don’t know?” Uniko questioned surprisingly, not expecting the fox to not know.
The fox shrugged, and then looked the lion and unicorn over, “All he told me was to follow him. He didn’t give off a sense of urgency…and judging by how I don’t see blood on any of you, or anything of the like, you two aren’t in any need of healing. So, I beg the question, why am I here?!” he topped it off by looking up at the tiger once more.
Zhal smiled as he reached into his belt and pulled out the piece of paper, “Well because he is needed for the next event…in fact he is the key piece to it.”
“Wait, what event?” Luso ask cautiously, not liking that explanation.
“What does it say?” Uniko asked, disregarding the fox’s question as he is eager to know what is on the paper.
“The next event is called…Capture,” Zhal proudly smiled.
“Capture?” Galen, Zhal, and Luso all spoke at the same time.
“Yes, the object of this is to…” he then pointed down to the small fox. “Is to capture Luso first.”
“Wait, what?!” both of the fox’s eyes rose at that, as a small pang of dread filled him.
“That’s it?” Galen responded as he smirked, instantly understanding things. “That’ll be easy.”
“What is this all about, I never agreed to this!” Luso argued as he took a step back, now noticing that all eyes were on him.
“Because If I told you back in the village, you wouldn’t have agreed,” Zhal then said. Knowing it was true as due to the fox’s tendencies, he wouldn’t have willingly gone through with this. Besides he didn’t really feel bad because he didn’t lie about it, all he said was to come with him and he did.
“A little different from what we have been doing, but not tough,” Uniko smiled as he looked at the panicking face of Luso, who took a few steps back.
“Now, first one to catch him will win,” Zhal then said, as he announced the terms. “Just remember no harming anyone, especially your target.”
“Don’t I get a say in this?!” Luso gulped as he took a few more steps back, only for the two large males before him to take a few steps themselves. That clearly being their answer to him. “Oh shit…” just then he turned around and started to make a run for it.
“Begin!” Zhal said, and just like that Galen and Uniko both started to break out into a sprint. Luso running into the trees like a bat out of hell as he didn’t want to be apart of this, but apparently is. And now he has two large males chasing after him! Not good, not good at all!
Sometime later Luso’s back hit the trunk of a tree as started to pant heavily, sweat soaking into his fur as he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. The fox been on the run for a while already and has miraculously managed to remain uncaught. Yet, there has been some close calls. Damn his short stature as it didn’t allow him to be as fast as he wanted. Compared to Galen and Uniko as they had stronger, and larger, legs, which allowed them to be propelled forward so easily. Still thanks to his side it allowed him to be more agile and squeeze into small openings, like tree trunks or exposed roots. Still, he couldn’t keep this up forever as-
“Oh shit!” he dove forward, just in time to miss massive white, furry, arms that nearly grabbed him. Turning his head his heart sank as he saw Uniko appearing from behind the tree, eyes locked onto him.
“Gotcha now!” he smugly said.
“Fuck, fuck, Fuck!” the fox said as he got up and took off into another spring, heavy footsteps, pounding away as it only told Luso that he was being chased. He passed many trees, bobbing and weaving through the various trunks, and trying to put some distance between themselves. Looking forward he saw an overturned tree, sigh a small gap on the left side. Which happens to be large enough for him to fit. Smirking the fox continued to run before doing dropping down and sliding underneath through the gap.
“Not this time!” Uniko responded as Luso disappeared from view as he focused on the fallen tree trunk before him. Lifting his leg up, he planted his massive foot on the bark before propelling himself forward and sailing through the air forward. Yet both eyes rose as he didn’t find Luso at all. “What the…” a few seconds passed before he landed on the ground with a large thump, swiftly turning around and both eyes rose as he saw Luso by the overturn tree still, which he jumped ten yards ahead.
Luso chuckled as his plan worked. Right as he slid, he reached out and stopped himself by holding onto the tree bark. Allowing his pursuer to sail over him. Smiling he pulled himself through the gap and started to run in the opposite direction. “Fuck, I can’t believe I fell for that!” Uniko cursed himself as he took off in pursuit once more
Luso on the other hand kept himself focused on the path forward, as he wanted to keep as much distance between himself and Uniko and…wait, why is only the horned one chasing him?
Where’s Galen?
“Yipe!” Before he could ponder that fact a hand suddenly shot out from a tree Luso just passed…and snatched him by the back of his vest! And just like that he’s jerked off of his feet and into the air, his legs kicking about, but hitting nothing but air as he came face to face with a set of familiar eyes.
“Hello,” Galen smirked as he held the fox.
“Uh…” Luso gulped as he is now looking at the lion, not believing he was caught off guard like that.
“Ah, fuck!” Uniko stopped running and kicked the ground in frustration. “How did you do that?! I didn’t even see you!”
Galen smiled as he looked over at his friend, still holding the fox by the shirt collar. “I’ve dealt with Luso so many times, that I’ve learned a few tricks.”
Both of Uniko’s eyes rose at that before a snarl overtook his face, “That’s no fair, you had an advantage over me!”
“Actually, it was fair,” a familiar voice called out, prompting them to look over and see Zhal approaching them. Breathing a bit deeply as he must have been running. “Galen had experience before hand, there’s nothing rule breaking about it.”
Uniko scoffed at that, “I still don’t think it’s fair.”
“You’re just sore that you lost,” Galen smiled as he was still holding the fox by his shirt collar.
“Umm…can you let me go now?” Luso asked, wanting to be put back down on his feet.
Unfortunately, his request went ignored as Zhal looked over at his lion friend, “Since Galen caught Luso first, he is the winner of this event.”
Galen smiled at this and pumped his fist in the air in triumph, “Another one down, and soon another one to follow!”
Luso just sighed in dejection as he hung in the air, “Just please don’t involve me in these anymore…”

Finally after all this time another picture in the contest series, only this time we have our favorite marbled fox Luso helping out. Although he is an unwilling participant as he wasn't informed of things before hand. But that doesn't seem to matter now as he's being chanced by Galen and Uniko. Sorry if the story is short and not that good, that's all I could think of without going into a long explanation and taking pages. Yet due to his experiences with Luso in the past Galen had an edge with catching the fox. So this was easier for him.
Also to let you know this was one of Zhal's events.
There is more to come as these two aren't done competing. Galen may have the lead right now but that could change in the coming events. You'll have to tune in and see what will happen next and see who will come out on top.
Another great picture done by galen who also owns Galen, Zhal and Uniko.
