Tinman The Labrador Retriever
STORY TIME!
I got him as a puppy, during the time he was growing up, he liked to hunt rabbits and rats, he specially seemed to dislike rats (often picking up fights with my colony's ratogre).
the first batch of puppies he had with 1 of the 2 females were 2 little puppers. and as he grew up, my labrador retriever count went up to over 150 of them (my colony main export became dogs and chicken eggs XD)
he grew attached to my pawn Gessyca, who was the main tamer, they hunted and traveled together for a couple of years, in 2 different raids he lost his both front paws.
thanks to not having the capability of research animal prostethics he ended up being the slowest of all the animals in the colony, so i promptly limited his area to inside the main house, he had his own comfy bed in the middle of the main hall near a heater where he could stay warm and safe from further raids.
however for some reason he kept getting several visits from female labs, so i had to sterilize him when the number of labs went up to 300 (and with 500 chickens my pc was suffering).
he kept his peaceful life for around 1 year, until we got a massive raid from the 'red snail colgaga' faction, where several of my pawns got injured (franke the 'man in black' lost his spine and he was in induced coma for 8 years until we could develop a bionic spine, but that's another story..)
in the middle of that raid, Gessyca died. causing tinman to become berserk and unleash his anger against anything around him (baby labradors) one of the puppers somehow managed to destroy his lung. forcing me to isolate tinman further, into a now smaller allowed area inside the house with his own dedicated food spot. he was severely depressed for the rest of the year(quadrum). tho at the end he seemed to perk up a bit, and was up and about and slowly walking to his food spot from time to time.
that is until some faction, offered to purchase my whole colony, letting me only keep 5 animals.. of which they had to be pack animals so i could keep the colony fed when we arrived to our new house.. i made sure to leave my 2securitrons and my Mr Handy along with other 6 pawns in the colony..
that is until i got my new colony stablished..
i went to check what had happened to my old colony.. only for it to be now from the 'red snail colgaga'... i could not enter as they always had a more advanced colony, but it had it's name changed, and the map's image of the settlements looked way smaller than it was when it was on my hands...
i do not know if Tinman managed to save himself, or if he got a new owner, or if something worse happened... but that dog, he was a good boy, and i will miss him, i only hope i can find him again somewhere, and get this golden doggo back in my colony. until then, godspeed Tinman, you were a good boy!
[Stories from my Rimworld games... i have so many to tell and so many interesting pets/pawns!, i hope you all enjoy reading a little bit about this cute doggo!]

[small disclaimer-edit, i had some kind of mandela effect where i was convinced his 2 front paws were gone, when in reality one of his rear paws was missing and only 1 from the front was gone.. that's what you get when you screenshot a dog in a hurry and keep misremembering him everytime something new happens >;v]

I wish I kept such interesting stories around some of the games I play. This is such a cool idea and a nice tribute. Sorry for the loss of Tinman.
Some games can tell you pretty amazing stories , but only if they are complex enough! imagine playing dwarf fortress! you have so many centuries of lore and story generated at one key press.
too bad most games are linearm but this kind of random super complex colony management games are my favorite ones lately!
i wont give up on this colony until they reach ascention or whatever the end goal is, and maybe, just maybe, i can meet tinman again ^^
im very happy you like this <3

That is really well written, and not just for a second language. I know people who speak English as their first who could not retell events as clearly.
Poor Tinman. I'm sure he wouldn't have gone down without a fight.

thankyou so very much! ^W^
to be honest, one of the few good things i can tell about myself, is that i've reached an 'ok' enough level of english on my own during all these years (scroll to some older pages and try to read the descriptions, dear god i can barely understand how i wrote so badly x-x'')
and i do admit i am trash to tell stories, i am sure i made some bad mistakes in this one, but i tried to do my best with my frozen fingers and beefbrain! im glad i made it readable enough so people can learn about this random tiny dog in a random huge game ^^ <3
im very sure he would have at least chomped someone's leg off! who knows if he is still in the world tho? i am still not sure how rimworld works, but perhaps he is still around and maybe i can meet him again, hopefully ^^ <3
thankyou so much for reading and liking this, your support and the support of the few ones who stick with me is what keeps me going <3
