One of two surprise gifts from my wonderful friend , and the adorable art by .
Everybody knows that while Marshall can be a fun loving, diaper wearing fox, he has always detested potty training in which he considers a waste of time and prefers his nice crinkly diapers instead. But there's another reason why Marshall has always hated the potty, and that's because he believes the evil potty monsters lurk underneath the sewer lines and capture any innocent cub that tries potty training, and drags them down the sewers as slaves to the potty monster king.
From time to time, Marshall has tried to prove his theory about the evil potty monsters to his parents, Laura and Howard. But all they would say is that Marshall has a very vivid imagination and should try to be more optimistic about potty training. But in his mind, Marshall knows that something's evil lurking down the main sewers. And because of this, Marshall has avoided using any kind of toilets and stayed in diapers to this very day.
One day as he went out for his daily walk around the neighborhood, his keen sharp hearing had picked up a strange sound coming from the sewer gates that connected to the sidewalk and street. Marshall bent down toward the sewer gate for a better hearing, and sure enough, Marshall heard the strange sound again which sounded like soft whimpering from a small child. It was a cry for help!
Now Marshall would never dare to enter the sewers since he knows it's the main lair of the evil potty monsters. But now there's someone trapped down there, it was a decision that Marshall couldn't ignore. And after finding an open sewer hole, Marshall took his chance and went down below.
Using his flashlight from his phone, Marshall traveled down the sewer line hoping he would find who was making all that whimpering. The sewer's foul stench made Marshall gag a bit, so he held his nose as he continued onward. (And he thought that his messy diaper pail reeked!) In no time at all, Marshall stumbled upon a very sad sight as he found not one but TWO little cubs, one alligator hatchling and one mouseling cub who were cold, dirty, and wearing nothing but filthy paperbags and plastic bags as clothing.
"Please help us get out of this scary place, Mr. Fox." whimpered the little mouse. "We've been stuck living in this awful place for months." added the little alligator. Immediately, Marshall scooped up the two sewer refugees and led them out of the awful sewers. "You two better come to my place." Marshall said as he held the two frightened cubs towards his house.
As usual, Laura started to scold Marhall for smelling like a sewer, but was then shocked as she saw the refugees that Marshall brought in. After a full explanation from the three cubs, Laura wasted no time giving the three stinky cubs a much needed bath while complimenting Marshall for doing a good deed. And after drying off the three, Laura got out some diapers for the cubs to wear. While Laura diapers up the alligator hatchling, Marshall gently diapers the mouse cub. As Marshall sprinkled some baby powder and taped up the mouse's diaper, Mashall started to ask the mouse some questions.
Marshall: "So what's your name, little mouse?"
Mouse Girl: "We don't have names. In fact, me and him don't even have a mommy or a daddy."
Laura: "You mean the two of you are orphans? And the two of you have been living down in the sewers for months?"
Alligator Boy: "That's right ma'am. And it was a struggle finding food for me and her during those awful months too."
Laura: "Awww, you poor little babies. Well I'll make sure that the two of you will have a hot decent meal today. You two go play with Marshall in his nursery while I cook dinner."
Marshall then took the two little babies to his nursery and got out his toys for the three of them to play with. While playing, it was there that Marshall gave the babies names. He named the alligator boy Rothbek while the mouse girl was named Honeycake. After a while, it was dinner time in which the two babies got to enjoy a wonderful dinner for the first time in their lives. Howard started looking for a new home for the two, but since it is getting late in the evening, Howard decided to let the little babies stay for the night.
Howard then set up Marshall's playpen in the nursery for Rothbek and Honeycake to sleep in. And after changing the two into fresh diapers, Marshall gave a plushie to each cub; an alligator stuffie for Rothbek, and a mouse stuffie for Honeycake. Marshall then tucked a warm blanket around the two babies along with a paci for each baby.
"Sweet dreams you two." whispered Marshall as Rothbek and Honeycake fell fast asleep. Marshall then changed into his night time diaper, climbed into his crib and snuggled into his warm blanket with Rusty Raggs at his side. Marshall then glanced at the two babies still asleep in the playpen. By tomorrow, Howard would find a new home for the two. But Rothbek and Honeycake would never forget the brave heroic diapered fox that saved them from the smelly sewers and giving the two a new lease in life. Feeling proud for his good deed, Marshall smiled as he drifted off into dreamland.

You're one good fox and a friend to all cubs. If this doesn't convince your parents potty monsters are real I don't know what will.
