Okay, I'll try to explain. I can't make a right hand into a left hand just by moving the thumb to the other hand, because it would not be mirrored. I could try to take the right hand apart into many small pieces, and assemble the left hand from them, but each bone would have to be divided too, since the bones are not symmetrical either. And even after that, there would be a high probability that the joints would not connect correctly.

What if instead of connecting a whole right hand, you just connect a few long fingers to your left arm and use them like a claw, you know, like in those plush machines in funfairs
It will be pretty hard to use I guess. Also, for this to work, all fingers must be the same length.
