Leather Backpack with survival gear, and a cast iron skillet
Two handed iron and oak handled battle ax
Minotaur’s Belt: Leather belt made from a minotaur’s (bovine anthro in Colmaton she doesn’t know the difference) hide, with a metal buckle. Gives her low level super strength, and can not trip or slip on ground that she is running on.
Frost Drake’s Teeth: Necklace with six ice cold to the touch, razor sharp, reptilian teeth. Allows her 6 times a day(once for each tooth) to breathe out a stream of freezing liquid akin to liquid nitrogen.
Iron Arm Bracers: Iron bands on her forearms lined with yak fur. At will can turn her teeth and nails into solid iron.
Personal Transport:
None
Powers/abilities:
Super Strength: Able to lift naturally 800lbs, during the song of rage this goes 1400lbs, with her belt she can lift 2000lbs overhead.
High Level Durability: Resistant but not immune to small arms fire. Most handgun rounds will break her skin, and bounce off.
The Songs of Power: Sakari can sing and dance, to enter into meditative states that allow her to access several supernatural abilities.
Song of Rage: Can willingly enter and exit a mental state that grants her heightened strength, speed, and becomes immune to fear and pain.
Song of Fascination: Makes a single creature listening focus on her, and only her, ignoring everything else around them.
The Howl of Doom: Not a ‘true’ song but a howl that creates a supernatural fear effect in creatures she deems an ‘enemy’,
The Howl of Heroes: A howl that grants anyone she deems a ‘friend’ or ‘ally’ a small boost in strength (roughly 10-20% increase to the individual’s max lifting and striking forces) and willpower.
Dance of the Ice Wolf Totem: Causes her teeth, nails, and any weapon she’s holding to form over with magical and holy ice.
Song of Healing: Magically heals wounds in people that hear the song.
The Tale of Elders: A long boring story, that causes everyone to hear it fall asleep.
Song of Peace: Makes a single creature think she’s their friend, and no harm will come to them.
Strengths:
Thick fur, and lifestyle makes her rather resistant to all but the most extreme levels of cold.
Experienced in dungeon delving and cave exploration.
Experienced with magic users and how to deal with them.
Very knowledgeable about how to live off of the land, especially in cold, mountainous or thick forested regions.
Effects of her songs last for as long as she has breath to sing and endurance to dance around
Weaknesses:
Radiates a lot of magical energy through her items, so she’s easy to track by spellcasters that know what to look for.
Iron Arm Bracers also make her teeth and nails magnetic just like regular iron.
Highly reliant on her magical items and rage if a plan goes awry
Thick fur, and being well adjusted to colder climates, means that warmer and tropical climates are highly uncomfortable for her.
Tends to go into a frustrated panic when her magic items or rage abilities can’t get her out of a jam.
Has to sing and dance to use her powers, making it impossible to do much of anything quietly
Can only sing one song at a time.
Bio:
Sakari comes from the world of the Lost Realms, the home world and dimension of the heroic kobold Silvernight, and the villainous Imoogi serpent, Geom Nun Yong aka the Prince of Iron, who almost conquered the entire world with his alchemical knowledge and might. And the titanic battle that banished him from the world at the cost of the heroic kobold… happened three thousand years ago.
Sakari was born to the nation of Adlartok. One of many small nations that formed out of the ashes of the great war. As her tribe's skald, she was tasked with remembering and telling stories to the younger generation about the exploits of historically important figures, as well as adventuring to recover relics and artifacts hundreds, and even thousands of years old.
With a hunger for knowledge, exploration and always in the hunt for a good story, she enrolled in a bard’s college and found employment as a ‘Procurement Specialist’ in a Wizard’s Guild. She was sent out to find and bring them back lost magic items, books, and overtime she’s been granted quite a few magical trinkets the wizards passed over. She often was assigned jobs with several of these specialists, creating small warbands of dedicated fighters, healers, arcane practitioners, and experts in covert operations. Similar to heroic bands that were formed into military units during the great war.
It was during one of these jobs the band she was working with discovered destroyed ruins of the legendary gate used by the Prince of Iron himself, and the site where a kobold ninja sorceress sacrificed herself to blow up the Prince and the gate to save the world. At least that’s what the old legends said happened.
Her band packed up as many of the Imoogi serpent’s tools and magical devices, and even dug up and brought the stones of the broken gate back to the town the wizard’s guild resided in.
In celebration of the find a town wide celebration was organized and the artifacts were laid out in the town square for show, including putting the alchemically treated stones of the broken gate as close together as possible to make it look as close as possible to how it was during the last moments of the war.
As the celebration went on into the night a storm started to brew, but the party atmosphere in the town kept the celebration going, and Sakari was in the midst of it, drinking mead, and telling stories of her and her companions’ prowess in exploration and fighting monsters. But as she went to pose heroically on top of the gate, her ax held up in the air, she was struck by a bolt of lightning. And everyone in town watched the stones of the gate flare to life, and shatter and when the light cleared and the deafening boom of the thunder passed long enough for anyone to hear. All that was left of Sakari or the gate was a blackened smear on the grass.
And that’s when Sakari found herself falling onto the roof of the Vancouver Art Gallery, surrounded by the dust of the alchemical stones.
Now the Skald has to find a new life in a world of heroes, and a guild called the Bureau of Superheros. But at least she has a great opportunity to weave new tales about heroes and villains. Teach the fursons of this new world, and make money, because money is great. She currently is teaching fursons how to survive in harsh, cold climates. But has an ear open for any jobs to go on adventures, looking for loot to find, discover a story… and sell both.
Personality:
Bubbly and excitable, she’s always wanting to run off somewhere, help someone, fight something, all with incredible enthusiasm.
She can’t sit still for long and asking her to be quiet is a lost cause.
Oblivious to how good looking she is. And sees beauty in nature and others.
Doesn’t like it when someone calls her a glorified grave robber.
Like Silvernight, technology is a marvel that borders on, or IS magic.
Loves money, but especially likes precious stones and metals.

And poor Nightblade is going to be going spare. "Again??? Colonel, what is WRONG with this dimension???"
Neat origin, and an intriguing mix of powers for the new heroine. With luck, she'll get a better handle on how tech works than Silverknight has managed. I'd love to see what happens if they meet up, though.

I imagine the meeting would be like medieval history teacher bumping into the real-life King Arthur or one of his knights. Meeting someone of historical importance but has a huge aura of mythology surrounding them. She'd probably be asking the poor kobold so many questions about the times, the battles, what really happened, etc. It'd also be very sobering for Silvernight to know that EVERYONE in her home dimension is dead, and only known through statues, and books about their heroism.
Ouch. Good point, that last. And is it due to Gate shenanigans, or is there a serious time mismatch between the two dimensions?
It's more gate shenanigans than anything. Especially when dealing with a broken one. If it wasn't broken the times would be a lot closer as the gates would be 'active' between different dimensions. Lost Realms is essentially a HUB dimension and a multi-universal landfill of the excess materials from other dimensions.
She's adorable and I love her to bits. Yay for a hottie-bo-bottie Valor Bard!
I like Lore Bards myself... the skill-monkey discount Wizard! >w>
For reference, at 6'6", anything under 160 is underweight, 170 is slim, and 190 is medium. Somebody who's a medium weight for their height could be lean and muscular, skinny-fat, or anything in between depending on their body fat percentage.
No problem. ^^ I just notice it's common for characters to have absurd weights for their heights and builds.
Skald is quite pretty btw!
