Sousa: The Lambs March (Percussion Arrangement)
These percussion arrangements tend to be overkill sometimes, so this may (or may not) be the last Sousa march I do for percussion instruments. But I had started this, so I felt committed to finishing it. What is it? It is John Philip Sousa's 1914 entry "The Lambs March."
Although MIDI tends to make everything sound the same, if you were to use the actual instruments I chose to play this arrangement, this is what you need:
4 sets of glockenspiels
3 sets of crotales
3 xylophones
Tubular bells
4 vibraphones
7 marimbas (2 grand staff, 2 treble clef, 3 bass clef)
Soprano steel drums
Alto steel drums
Tenor steel drums
2 sets of bass steel drums
Orff bass mellophone (a new one for me)
Battery percussion
