This artpiece involves both my character Predatoria and Skadvaengr's dragon character standing together against a band of Trandoshan mercenaries. Skadvaengr did the lineart and coloring for his character who is wearing armor and holding a minigun. I did my character who's holding the lightsabers, the scene and background, and the shading.
For a close-up of his character, you can visit https://www.deviantart.com/skadvaen.....obs-935723547! He also wrote some lore from his perspective.

For a bit of fun, I decided to come up with a bit of backstory and lore for putting dragon Pred into the Star Wars universe as I worked quite hard on this picture and felt it needed to come with some history. I’m not the most knowledgeable about Star Wars lore, so keep that in mind as you read this. I tried to make it fit her character well.
For a long time, Predatoria was a rather renowned exobiologist, leading countless expeditions to explore many corners of the galaxy. Being a true dragon has many perks, especially when one has taken a curiosity to become a participant in advanced, technological societies rather than continuing to exist as a only great beast of the woods. Obviously, being able to fly greatly improves one’s mobility while conducting extraterrestrial expeditions on other worlds. There’s not really any terrain a dragon cannot handle, well, so long as it doesn’t involve caves that is. Jetpacks and speeders certainly are nice, but nothing beats a good set of strong dragon wings on your back for getting around. Additionally, while extraterrestrial beasts such as the Nexu and other terrifying predators pose a significant threat to traditional, humanoid explorers, they’re just cute kitty cats to the likes of a dragon.
A post-spacefaring civilization has opened up a seemingly endless amount of moons, asteroids, and other planets just begging to be explored. How does she get around? She currently has a Razorcrest! Unfortunately, while being a dragon has a multitude of obvious perks, it comes with drawbacks as well. One of those is they don’t exactly make dragon-sized cockpits and selecting a suitable spacecraft to get to other planets is quite the challenge. She fits in the Razorcrest at least, even if only in the cargo hold. Her wings barely fit, but it’s not too bad. A droid takes to the cockpit and flies the ship for her.
She became a jedi after being a padawan under Mrssk, one of a very select few Trandoshan jedi. It so turns out that dragons endowed with electrical-typed breath attacks are force-sensitive and, despite being rather crummy with her electrical breath attacks in her earlier centuries, by the time space-faring had spread around the galaxy, Pred had become rather adept at wielding her powers. It’s quite a good thing too, as Mrssk was actually her would-be assassin.
How could such a thing be? Well, Trandoshan are quite a hunting-oriented society and, unfortunately, they do have a nasty habit of trying to hunt dragons for sport and glory. It doesn’t often go well for them, but there are a lot more Trandoshan than there are proper dragons and they’re often quite willing to put their lives on the line in the name of a glorious hunt. Only after Pred had wielded her electrical breath attacks well and defended herself from this glory-seeking, lightsaber-wielding jedi did he warm up to the idea of taking her under his teaching as his student. She wasn’t too thrilled by his attempt to kill her, but after learning of the Force and the fact that she had been wielding it for millenia already , she couldn’t resist lending an attentive ear on how to further hone her capabilities under his study.
Mrssk is now dead, fallen in the line of duty, but she continued to wield four lightsabers and use a more honed and understood version of the Force alongside her tooth-and-claw might as a dragon for centuries after.
How does that lead to the picture here, where she’s clearly under attack by the very Trandoshan race that trained her in the ways of the Force? Why does she have a fellow, draconic comrade at her side? Well, you may have noticed at the beginning I mentioned Pred was a rather renowned exobiologist. That was under the Galactic Republic.
Unfortunately, the Galactic Republic is now no more, replaced by the Galactic Empire which has significantly less interest in learning about the creatures and ecosystems on extraterrestrial worlds. She lost contact with fellow researchers on Cormorant many years ago. Are they dead? She doesn’t know. She does know, however, there’s not much left for her on Cormorant nowadays and has since been wandering about on the edge of civilization.
That was, until, today. Today a strange fellow dragon showed up to warn her of an impending attack. She’s being hunted. Again. By the Trandoshan. Yep, they’re after her. Why? It so turns out the Galactic Empire has ordered all jedi to be executed. That includes her. They’ve been sent after her and, being the Trandoshan they are, they simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hunt a dragon and get paid for it. Now she stands wing to wing with her newly found ally. Clearly she’s enjoying the fight so they must be winning.

I'm glad you enjoyed the history! I had to do some research to find some stuff that would make sense. Skadvang helped me, as he knows more about Star Wars lore than I do.
The ammount of detail in this is truely on another level, even with tiny details, like there's smoke coming off the freshy cut parts!
Yep! The cauterized lightsaber wounds. A quick, efficient, deadly kill with no time wasted.
Indeed! In the lore I commented on how dragon breath attacks are just a raw, earlier version of being force-sensitive to justify it. Because.... dragons are the best!
lol great minds think alike thought the same

I still can't believe you went with that name Pred >.< The story with it is super cute! I love it! Seriously poster quality stuff right here <3
I'm glad you read the story. I worked hard on it and tried to make it fit well.
