One of the advantages of having a fully robotic body: cold weather really isn't an issue any more.
I wanted some casual pic of me doing typical every-day stuff and emoting, so I struck on the idea of drawing me going to the store. Mekh and I go shopping most nights for dinner, and lately it's been really cold when we head out, and I was just really amused by the idea of me walking along, casually chatting away while he's bundled up in his coat because of the cold. Normally I'd be even more bundled up than he is (I hate the cold!), but having a robotic body that doesn't really care about the cold is really nice.
A few little tech notes: temperature management is an issue, as with all machines. In my case, the primary concern is keeping my brain at the right temperature, which generally means keeping it cool. I also have to deal with heat buildup from the various electrical-powered systems in my body, such as the artificial muscles. That means that in most cases, I actually have to shed heat, which is where the air vents at the back of the jaw and neck come in. That can keep my brain cooled, even if it's hot enough out that my hard surfaces start doing an impression of a hot car roof. For when it's cold, like this, I've got wires running just under the surface, so I can warm things up, instead of being all ice-cold metal after a walk like this. Which means I can be nice and cozy for helping to warm Mekh up after our walk. ;>
And I just want to point out, he's not short. I'm just really tall!
