The Miller Estate came into being in the early 1900s. The Shizen Basin wasn’t yet named, but a wealthy Japanese Family had it mapped out, and it was purchased directly from the United States Federal Government, the Shizen Basin is a few Square Kilometers in size, easily larger than the Vatican or San Marino. The Shizen Basin is located a distance from the Sierra-Nevada Mountains, on the West Side of them, its an area of flat land surrounded by mountains, almost in the shape of an oval. The Basin has only one exit, the Rotasu (Lotus) Pass, this area is where the river flows out of, and its where the bridge leading into the Miller Estate is. But yea, the Miller Estate itself began to be built along with a mountain cabin in the Northwest of the Property. Also, the quite expensive and labor intensive process of pretty much replacing the ecosystem of the Shizen Basin with a Japanese one (Japanese Plants, Birds, Land Animals, Fish, etc) which was 90% successful (Sika Deer, Japanese Varieties of Flowers, Lotus Flowers, etc)
Eventually, the Miller Estate was passed down to the only child of the couple that had payed for it’s construction, and the actual Estate/Mansion was rebuilt from the ground up with inheritance, the mountain cabin was forgotten, and a nuclear bomb shelter was constructed under the mansion since… yknow. The property at this time was the most expensive on Earth during this time, more expensive than Buckingham Palace is valued at which… is pretty insane. Though eventually it all came crashing down. Ms. and Mr. Miller (no relation to Adrian Miller) were on vacation in Kodiakia on the night it literally just, disappeared, so… the property was promptly abandoned after their money ran out, and so their servants, gardeners, etc just sorta… left to find other work, leaving the Miller Estate to nature, over the next decades it became a shadow of its former self, forest cover in the Shizen Basin was very low, it was mostly a well groomed grassland and flower garden, but after the people stopped caring, the forest expanded 3x though, even then, it didn’t overtake the whole property, much of it was still grassland, as deer grazed here. The lake and river stayed- remarkably the same despite not being cleaned regularly, and well, besides the fact that a forest now bordered the Eastern side of the lake and river, and covered the island.
Eventually though, it all changed when Asher arrived.
