I believe it's time I finally got around to building the daycare in my series, so here's the floor plan! It's sorta based off the Daycare I went to when I was 4-6 years old in layout specifically, I tried to recreate it to the best of my memory, but it was really long ago, I also added some things of my own. But anyways, here it is!
The daycare is located somewhere within a mixed-used suburb, nearby the local market district. The building has 2 levels, the first level is the daycare itself, and second level is where Mrs. Maple, and Lucinda live. The daycare also has a basement for storage, the kids would often make spooky stories about how its haunted, and that if you go down at the wrong time, you might come face to face with a vengeful ghost!
Entrance :
This is where the kids enter the building from, to the left are two benches for them to sit and undo their footwear, and to the right are some shoe racks for them to keep their shoes, sandals, or boots.
Assembly Hall :
This is where the kindergarteners assemble at the start of the day for the daily headcount, and for announcements to be made. It also contains a television for movies and videos to be shown, or for the kids to watch cartoons whilst waiting for their parents to come pick them up at the end of the day. In front of the Assembly area and entrance, is a large corridor, which could be used for certain activities such as exercise routines if it's raining outside. To the left are two large shelves for the kindergarteners to place their bags before going into class.
The main Kindergarten is split into 4 distinct regions, the Classroom, the Play Area, the Library, and Computer Zone.
Classroom :
The Classroom consists of 6 tables with 5 chairs each, each table meant for 1 of the 6 teams in the daycare; Hell Creek, Horseshoe Valley, Huincul, Wessex, Elrhaz, and Nemegt. To the left is a digital whiteboard for the current teacher to use, and to the front are shelves and cabinets full of art supplies and stationery, and to the right, near the class entrance, are more shelves for the kindergarteners to store their bags. The classroom also has notice boards and areas where outstanding art pieces from the kids can be hung up for display!
Play Area :
The Play Area is where the kindergarteners can have fun learning with a wide assortment of toys and games! to the top right of the play area are where board games are placed, to the the bottom right are where building toys like Lego bricks are located, between the two shelves are a large play table where the kids can use to play games, or build creations on!
On the left side of the Play Area is where your more typical toys are located, with a wide selection too! Be it Toy trucks, or Baby dolls. Racecar tracks, or dollhouse sets, there's plenty for everyone and anyone to have fun!
The Play Area and lower portion of the Classroom is where the kindergarteners take their afternoon naps at.
Library :
As far away from the noisy Play Area as possible, the library is where kindergarteners can enjoy reading from a huge selection of books, be it fiction or non-fiction, their bright, cheery, eye-catching colors are sure to make anyone interested! The Library also refreshes every week with new books, ensuring it never gets stale. At the top of the library is a hollow, plastic tree trunk, called "The Reading Tree" the inside of which is full of cozy pillows with a light source, and where kids can retreat to if they wish for more privacy to read. Although it isn't uncommon to find a lazy kid taking a snooze in there from time-to-time! Or for some kids to use it for roleplaying sessions of their favorite stories!
Computer Zone :
Below the Library is an area of 6 computers, each computer is locked into a custom child-friendly account which kindergarteners can use to watch short movies, or play educational computer games on. They can also access a very limited version of the internet on these computers to search up basic information on things such as animals. Kids are not allowed to use a single computer for more than 30 minutes, if you do so, a daycare worker will come along and ask you to make space for another kid who wishes to use the computer.
To the right of the main corridor is a nursery, intended for toddlers who attend the daycare.
Nursery :
This is where children below the age of 4 tend to be placed, the main exception is if the baby in question is of a species that is too large, and is considered a potential threat to other toddlers, to which they are moved to the kindergarten instead, so far there's only been one exception to this. The nursery is full of tough, sturdy, baby toys, along with a playpen for toddlers to toddle about, at the top of the daycare is a changing station for quick diaper changes, this way, babies do not have to be taken all the way to the medical bay to get changed. To the right are a bunch of baby cots, this is where nursery children can be sent to sleep during nap time, and for them to be bottlefed.
Cafeteria :
The Cafeteria has 4 large tables, capable of holding all 30 kindergarteners, during lunch time or afternoon break, they are brought here for their daily meal, or afternoon snack. The daycare offers 3 different meal categories, one for carnivores, one that's completely vegetarian, and one that has a mix of both, each meal tends to be served to kids according to their parents choice.
Studio / Gymnasium :
A quiet, soundproofed, air conditioned room where the kindergarteners are sometimes brought to for them to perform in fun musical or theatrical plays! At the back of the room is a stage where they can sing, dance, and perform! The room is also often filled with large foam mats, which lets the kids partake in activities which might potentially involve them falling on the floor, there's also a small rock climbing wall at the back, for the most daring of kids!
Bathrooms :
The daycare has two bathrooms, one located near the kindergarten, and the other located near the cafeteria. The first bathroom is mainly used by the kindergarteners, it contains 3 stalls, 4 urinals, multiple sinks, and 2 showers to the right for the kids to be bathed in the afternoon. The leftmost stall, has the toilet replaced with a training potty, and is intended for kindergarteners who are still being toilet trained. Outside the bathroom is a long bench for the kids to wait for their turn to shower. Along with a shelf where they can place their personal belongings while they do so.
The second bathroom is more or less the same as the first, but all the toilets in the stalls are the same, and it has no showers. It's mainly used for the kindergarteners to wash their hands before eating.
Medical Bay :
The sick bay is where kids who are injured whilst within the daycare can go to, to have their bruises patched up by the school nurse, it also contains a bed for kids who fell sick to rest in while their parents arrive to pick them up.
It's also the main area where kindergarteners who need diapers can get theirs changed laying down, or at least do so in privacy.
At the back of the daycare, is a stairwell that leads both to the second floor, and the basement, along with a back door for supplies to be easily delivered through.
And... that's most of Dino Digs Daycare! But not all of it, as there's supposed to be a sports court, playground, and possibly a swimming pool as well! But that's for another time!

This is very well designed and flows well; you have an excellent eye for spatial detail and organizing spaces. Many things I design tend to be too boxy, and I'm not one to use halfways to cut spaces as you have. It has an open-style floor plan that creates personal rooms without doors or windows so caretakers can walk by and have sightlines into every room... The only thing I would change would be adding a wall to the nursery; you don't want to be teaching a lesson and hearing all the whiny babys crying on the other side of the building.
My only question is, where do all the teachers/ caretakers do the paperwork? I notice there are stairs. Are the primary faculty lounges upstairs or downstairs? I'm only asking this because if a child is misbehaving and their parents need to be contacted, where is the kid taken too, and where is the phone to contact the parents or receive calls from the parents?
Sorry if I'm being to realistic.

Well, this was based off the actual daycare I went too, so I took a lot of inspiration from that, although the one I went to had no sick bay, and instead of a single, massive classroom, it was I think 3 smaller ones? It was quite some time ago, and I think they might have changed the layout since. And I don't feel like peeking through my old daycare's windows just to check, for obvious reasons...
Although you make a good point about faculty areas, I guess they would be on the second floor, or they would do some of their lighter paperwork within the classroom, although the daycare is only run by about a dozen or so people. As for phones, almost every daycare worker has a smartphone (including Mrs. Maple herself) So they'll probably just use that, but otherwise, there's one in the sick bay, and multiple of them in the office on the second floor.

i hope the gym has sufficient noise canceling being next to the room full of cots and nursery
That is a very good point that I probably wouldn't have thought of.
This is super cool… I can’t wait to see how this gets implemented
Looks like quite the fun place 😸 Well thought out layout too
aye, did you use an application to make this or did you draw it up yourself? either way, its a pretty swag looking floorplan
this was the best floor plan of a daycare center i have ever seen, I wanted to know how to do that too, usually the daycares I've done have been very simple and boring ._.
