HORNS - ANIMATED SHORT FILM
An antelope remembers why he became a trucker.

Thank you all for your patience throughout this year. This animated short is a project I've started working on since the summer of last year.
It has been on-and-off. But for the past few months I have been taking care of it every day, like it's my own baby bird. And now that it's finished. It's time to let it fly.
Doing this makes me happy. And that I get to share it with an audience that will remember it means more to me that you know.
I know there may be one of you reading this who was around when I was still doing art with pen and paper many years back. To think that you have been around all this time, I cannot describe how grateful I am for that.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU <3

If anyone can make an animation that makes me Happy and Sad at the same time, I know you can make it.
A very beautiful animation and story. You are quite skilled. Keep using your talents for good. Thank you for sharing.
You out did yourself big time, combining your animation and character designs with a heart warming story, I love it! 😁💙👍🏼
You always put so much feeling and love into your animations. This one was amazing.
Wow this is all kinda of emotional, really great work all around ^..^
This is an amazing animation as usual dude. So emotional and heartwarming. I say it was well worth the wait. 😊 To be honest, I've seen some of your pics, I've even been watching your animations long before I entered the community. It's so amazing to see how much you've evolved throughout the years.
That was absolutely beautiful! Such a labor or love got me emotional. Been wanting to get back into animation myself and seeing this definitely inspires me to just go at it. Wondering which program do you use to animate?
I admit I cried, i shall be dealing with this shortly with my dad as he is at his *end of line* as it were. Memories of him taking me to local steam era events to see all the steam gear..man it hit a LOT harder then I expected.

Filled to the brim with emotions and passion. Just.... adorable.
This film really pulled on my heart strings hard. As someone who used to be that kid and is currently a heavy wrecker driver, you truly knocked it out of the park! I’ve been where that driver is and to see a kids face light up makes it all worth it because for those 5 seconds you were someone’s hero. I sit in this Pererbilt to tell you what you have done is beautiful and thank you for all your efforts in making this💜
Such amazing work!! You can tell with every frame that you put an awful lot of love and care into this short! ❤️❤️❤️
Don't worry about how long it took to finish. It was well worth the wait! 🥰🫂

Thank you!
Your story-telling/idea/message: Holistic. Inspirational. Supportive. Loving. Caring. Touching. …
Your visual realization: Beautiful. Dedicated. Expertly rendered. Brilliantly through-composed. …
The list of positive descriptors for either category could continue for a long time. Your short-film is on par with those by Pixar.
Thank you!
Especially during our current times, our suffering planet, and the creatures inhabiting it, certainly need more inspiration of this kind!
Thank you!
Please be well, remain strong and positive, preserve your love and kindness! I hope you will continue to enjoy creating your lovely art and sharing it with many, many more people.
Blessings to you and yours – always!
Yup, I cried, I even expected the worst to come.. but it wasnt that sort of story. Glad it ended how it had!
Gotta admit, Luke. This was a lovely film. I felt you did a great job with this.
Some say that when you raise something with love the results are better, but Luke, what you just made is beyond my compliment habilites, congrats for such an amazing job, I'm my best wishes for you.
Truly a work of art! Not even a single line of dialogue yet so many words are spoken just in the setting, background, noises, and expressions!
Beautiful and touching stuff right here. ^^ Legit made me tear up at work, heh.
I love this short so much. My father was a trucker too, and while I didn't quite go the trucker route myself, the loss, the comfort, the sweetness, it was all too real to see and rekindle everything that has happened in my life in your magnum opus of a piece.
That's special to me, and I hope you know that you are a wonderful animator and artist from hereon. On another note, will we get to see our grown-up antelope lad more? I'd love to see him more and just snuggle into him.

Quality animation. I don't know how you do it, Luke, but your animations make me smile and cry. This new one is no exception. I've seen it 5 times!!
This was absolutely beautiful, and extremely emotional.. I cried through the whole thing ;w;
Truly incredible, wonderful, amazing, lovely work, as always. Keep it up, Luke <3

Thank you for making this, it was extremely sweet to see and got me all emotional. Keep up the good work, you are awesome
I commented on Twitter when I saw this, and I'll say the same thing here.
As a truck driver....thank you for this. It is beautiful, and you clearly put so much love and care into it.
For everyone else out there...keep on fist-pumping for us, we love it! If I see you doing it in my travels, no matter who you are, I'll happily honk the airhorn for you!

Extremely beautiful, wholesome and touching. Made me smile so much!
This was the best animation I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the colors the lighting and the father son dinamic made it all perfect the fact that it doesn’t need dialogue Is impressive.😁
I don't know how not to give too much away -- I may already have in my comment on the follow-up piece -- but the contrast between expectations and reality came up for a moment.
Also, over the course of my time thinking about this at length (over 45 minutes!), I was reminded of hearing a few days ago about how vital those in the trucking profession are.
It must really be something to see such high praise from a few who were fat-fur luminaries going back 15-plus years.

You are good at making emotional short films. This one made me cry too.
Definitely feel this can connect with a lot of people. As we get older, we tend to see only the monotony of life and let the present overpower the past. But even small things can push those feelings away and help us remember our hopes. Thank you for this.
Please go nominate this for an Ursa Major Award -- Best Dramatic Short

I watched it, I smiled, I cried, I. . . I need to share this with my dad.
I am just going to say, I hope this message finds you.
Starting in 1985, my Christmas present from my Pop-pop (AKA Grandfather on my mother's side.) has always been a Hess Truck. Starting with the 1985 first truck:

I still have it. as bent and worn as it is. I stopped opening them and keeping them nice and safe... until he died. My aunts wanted to keep sending me them, but it wouldn't be the same if Pop-pop sent them to me.
Your short made me cry so hard remembering my grandfather.
It means alot, thank you.
