Shhhhh, don't listen to them, sweetie, you are a real fairy, no matter what they say. You're beautiful and unique
Some angst in my gallery at long last! This has actually been an idea I've had on my mind for a really long time, but didn't get around to commissioning until recently.
I'm super happy with how it turned out though, LJ did such a wonderful job as always, with absolutely amazing expressions and lighting! It's just breathtaking! I love the darker, blue lighting, it really adds to the atmosphere of a more saddened tone.
The idea with the forest is that it's somewhere I imagine Ashura would instinctively seek out somewhere comfortable to her, which would be somewhere with lots of flora and privacy, since she is a dragon of nature after all, so having all the flowers on the floor really adds a lot to it. Could even be that's she maybe been nurturing some flora as she was grieving, so could be she cultivated some of them before Elvira found her, or maybe during her being there, could have been a bit of a collaborative effort <:
Enough theorizing tho! Sorry :'D
For anyone curious, the idea behind this piece is that, since Ashura is a bit of an unusual fairy with a unique backstory, rather than a fairy from birth (you can read more about it on her ref sheet if curious), that in her younger years, other fairies would likely pick on her, bully her and make fun of her, claiming that because of her origins, she's not a real fairy. So she'd run off crying and seek comfort in some of the places she feels the most at home, for example the forest she lives near/in, which is then where Elvira would approach her to offer some motherly comfort, to the poor distressed fairy, who's still trying to figure everything going on with her out :<
Ashura and Elvira are miiineeeee

On a serious note, gatekeeping culture does need to go away for sure.
I'm sure they'll appreciate those nice words! Thank you! <:
