So this was inspired by my good friend :ladiesman217: who thought of a cute little gift between my character Felix and his character Harry (who is my absolute fav). The situation was so nice, I wanted to turn it into a bit of a meet cute between two lovable big guys. Enjoy!
"Order up! One venti cold brew!"
"Yeah, that’s me."
A rotund yet muscle toned bear wandered up to the barista counter to grab his drink. He had just finished a beginner’s course of Yoga at the nearby fitness center. After his normal regiment, he’d normally feel energized but needed an extra boost for the extra errands he had planned throughout the day. Upon grabbing his drink, he realized it was pure, opaque black. He forgot to order his favorite white chocolate syrup that would turn the coffee into a mild tan.
Never deterred, the bear walked towards the sweetener bar, staring at the large array of various honeys, sugars, spices, and dairy. He mentally measured out how much he’d have to put in the coffee to make it meet his exact needs. He took a nice, long sip to remove an inch from the venti drink so he could add a bit more sugar syrup and half-and-half to balance it out. After a few quick stirs, it was relatively close to what he would normally get.
As he breathed a sign of relief, he turned carelessly back in the opposite direction. With a cold brew in hand, he was ready to tackle the rest of the day. That was until...
smish, boing
The bear came to an abrupt stop. There was no table or pillar blocking the exit; he'd crossed it a dozen times. After focusing for his brain for half a second, he got a full picture of what had gotten in the way.
In front of him was a similarly big, possibly larger wolf/samoyed man. Whereas the bear had more definition in his limbs and shoulders, this man was a molded specimen of pure softness. He had puffy arms and wide breasts that were barely contained by his tank top. Though where he matched with the bear is that he also had a very doughy, keg sized belly. After glancing down, he realized that’s what he had bumped up against.
"Oh my gosh I’m so sorry!" The fluffy man said.
One half of the bear’s brain heard the words loud and clear. But the other side of his brain was getting a full picture. His face had a small but well maintained beard with matching snow white hair and a small golden earring atop his right ear. Compared to the refined cold brew, the samoyed man had a giant whipped cream and caramel laced beverage that was more milkshake than coffee. No wonder he bounced against him.
"Are you okay?" The man pleaded once again.
The bear echoed in his head that everything about his man was unique yet surprisingly cute. The bearded man was flustered but almost looked like he was blushing all the same, surprised by the sensation of bumping bellies. He realized he had to speak, wanting to break the silence.
"Yeah, I’m good."
"I didn’t make you spill, did I?"
"No nom it’s all good." The yoga instructor said. "I’ve got a strong core."
"I’m thankful." The samoyed breathed a sign of relief. "It’s not the first time I’ve bumped into somebody and ruined their day. It's a good thing you are strong enough!"
"Yeah…"
The bear abruptly decided that the errands could wait. Something about this situation just felt right.
"Hey, I’m…Felix." The yoga instructor said. "But my friends refer to me as Bear." He extended a hand to shake.
"Harry." The larger man said "Very charmed to meet you!" He started shaking his hands profusely, causing his body to nearly wobble in a ripple effect.
An enchanting thought passed through Felix’s mind. This boy is as sweet as his drink…let’s not wait. "You wanna sit down and talk?"
"Let’s!" Harry said.
The two big white mammals sat down in a corner, away from the tight benches. As they sat down on the more loosely cushioned chairs, they pushed a small table in between. The two nearly dwarfed the wooden table, with barely enough room to hold their coffee and cell phones. They both ritualistically placed their phones on the table at the same time, accidentally touching hands.
Harry and Felix gasped, realizing they had unintentionally touched again. In that moment, the two looked at each other. Both were starting to glow a bit more red, even more through their layers of fluff and fur. Harry noticed that the bear face was starting to match his chestnut, auburn hair. Felix bit his lip and tried to glance away, though he was still obviously flustered. Although he turned his face, Felix could see Harry staring dreamily at the yoga teacher.
This was going to be the start of something special.
