I saw a swarm
Of black birds
Strange creatures
With human eyes
They were looking for a field
With a bit of grain
For long months
They will search in vain
And what do you do?
And what do you do?
And what do you do?
Of black birds
Strange creatures
With human eyes
They were looking for a field
With a bit of grain
For long months
They will search in vain
And what do you do?
And what do you do?
And what do you do?

just found you through this piece on twitter and im speechless. your work is breathtaking
What a compelling image. I'm thankful for this image that prioritizes something vulnerable and ethereal instead of the same old tired military bravado fantasy.
This makes me think of John Singer Sargent's paintings from WWI. It's heartbreaking--dark, quiet, desolate beauty.
i come back to look at this one often. it is a wonderful piece one of my favorites from you. there’s a warmness in this dark uncertainty
"I wonder how winter will be
With a spring that I shall never see
I wonder how night will be
With a day that I shall never see
I wonder how life will be
With a light that I shall never see
I wonder how life will be
With a pain that lasts eternally"
Great work dude. Getting Dore vibes from this drawing.
