Kayden is strolling around the lively and colorful nightlife streets of Japan as he stumbles upon a ramen cart.
Nothing like a good char siu ramen to satiate that craving and hunger.

Thank you once again for this opportunity to try learning something new! <3
This artwork took me ages to work on, but I say that this worked out pretty well in the end and I'm actually proud of this one. This also is technically my first 2023 released art I guess, even though I've been working on this since last year XD I have done some experimentation on this as well, trying out new things. But what I'm most proud of is the food art, the ramen. I had to look at a couple of anime-styled food art to try emulating and I think I've done a good job.
Also, I have slapped a lot of easter eggs and references in this artwork. If you would like to find them out yourself, stop reading here.
I'm listing the references below cause there's just a lot :3
> Wolf Children - Building with the neon sign text says "Kamiichi to Ryokō" (translates to "Kamiichi Travel), Kamiichi is an actual place in Japan where the real life house of the wolf children is. The TV screens on the building are also related to Wolf Children (Left screen shows the house, Right screen shows only the background of the key poster of the film)
> FamilyMart - named FurryMart instead
> Aggretsuko (anime) - The two silhouettes in front of the FurryMart are Haida and Tadano from the anime
> BNA (Brand New Animal) (anime) - Sylvasta Pharmaceuticals signage
> Yakuza (game) - Karaoke bird mascot thing on the karaoke building
> Made in Abyss (anime) - Narehate Restaurant (Narehate Shokudō) building. Also Nanachi is on the floor signage in front of the building, and even Nanachi's signature on the building
> Shimajiro (children's show) - The training chopsticks Kayden is using
> Pokemon (anime) - The Japanese text attached on the street lights read "Gararu Tori" (translates to Galar Street), Galar being one of the regions in Pokemon
> Final Fantasy XIV Online (game) - The TV screen above the yakuza bird screen thing. Shows a loporrit, one of the beast tribes introduced in the Endwalker expansion
> ABU - I don't think I need to explain this one lol. It's on the sign on the building with the Wolf Children stuff.
> Don Don Donki - Same as above but shows up in the reflection on the glass windows of the building instead (yes I didn't flip the reflection but that's okay)
> Dozy Slumbers - I'm the reporter on the TV at the ramen cart :3
