Gage is currently just in the concept stage as I brainstorm ideas for Anthrocon.
As you may be able to tell, I like working with ideas of characters in a fandom setting, especially artists because -- hey write what you know. Electra is an example of an artist motivated by popularity. Gage... well. Gage told himself he was just drawing furry art to get him some extra money through college.
That was ten years ago.

Yeah, I think many people do this as a response to haters, they don't conform to the idea people have of as stereotypical furry (often cus they are not interested in porn or having a fursona, and rather than doing what other groups have been doing, including nerds in general, embrace the label, have fun with the stereottypes and in general show people thhat their preconceptions are stupid, they shy away from the label. I dunno if its a rampant lack of self-esteem or simply that it takes some balls to stand next to some of the kinkier members of the fandom and go "oh yea,h I'm with that guy".
